The accommodation for Yoga Teacher Training Courses in Gokarna, India are offered, seems simple but comfortable, safe, and clean. You are steps from the yoga shala and Kudle (pronounced Kood-lay) beach. You can book your room either shared for 2 persons or your own single room.

These rooms are your perfect respite for rest and relaxation. The sheets are a crisp, clean, pristine white. Sink into the comfortable mattress. Ahhh! When you open your door you will see rolling hills, rice fields, and palm trees blowing in the breeze. The warm, salty breeze from the ocean will fill your soul with calmness.

Program

The course is a stepping stone to becoming a yoga teaching professional and practitioner and the training itself gives all participants a solid foundation in Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga. We offer a program that is presented in a fun, relaxed, modern and progressive environment. Students should be prepared to be mentally and physically challenged as classes vary from physically vigorous to softer and more restorative sessions. You will be encouraged to follow an Ayurvedic diet to improve your overall sense of well-being.

The schedule will run the typical routine at our school, beginning early mornings (usually around 6 am) and running throughout the day and ending around evening/sunset time. There will be breaks for breakfast and lunch and an afternoon rest period.

  • Module - 1: Concept and meaning of yoga therapy, History of yoga therapy Characteristics of yoga therapy, Principles and basis of the yoga therapy Integrated approach of yoga therapy.
  • Module - 2: Concept of health and disease and Mechanism of disease according to yoga, Development and reversal of disease according to soul, mind, body approach.
  • Module - 3: Physiology of stress and how stress leads to psychosomatic ailments. Stress management through yoga.
  • Module - 4: Soul, mind and body approach and its use in the understanding development of disease and reversal of disease.
  • Module - 5: Yoga for a common psychosomatic ailment like back pain, Yoga for Sciatica Yoga for Diabetes, high blood pressure, Asthma, yoga for IBS, constipation and many other diseases, yoga in pregnancy, prenatal yoga and post-natal yoga.
  • Module - 6: Concept and meaning of Multi-style yoga, rope yoga, chair yoga for treatment Physiological basis of dynamic and static forms of yoga Power Yoga, Flow Yoga, Hatha Vinyasa, Sivananda yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, Restorative yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Vinyasa flow yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Teaching Methodology.
  • Module - 7: Teaching Methodology and principles of teaching, teaching practice.
  • Module - 8: Ayurveda- basic knowledge of Ayurveda which can help in healthy living, how to use Ayurveda according to dosha and to diagnose and cure, use of Ayurveda for sequencing and practice of yoga of one own kind.

Arrival by airplane

Dabolim airport in Goa is the nearest airport, it is 140 kilometers away. It is well connected to Indian and international cities. You can take a taxi from the airport. Shree Hari Yoga can organize your pick up from the airport.

Arrival by train

The nearest railway stations are Gokarna Road (10 kilometers) and Ankola (20 kilometers). You can catch an auto-rickshaw from the train station. It can be pre-booked with Shree Hari Yoga.

Arrival by bus

The buses travel here from Bengaluru, Mangalore, Hubli, and other major cities. You can also catch a bus from Madgaon, near Goa. Gorkana is about 10 kilometers off the NH17 connecting Mumbai to Kochi.
