Accommodation offered is simple but comfortable and clean, and close to the school. The accommodation offers double and single rooms with an attached bathroom including the Indian or Western-style toilet, as well as a hot water shower. Some of the accommodations provided at the school are going to have shared bathrooms, but most of the accommodations provided have private bathrooms. There is also Wi-Fi access available.

Rooms are available near to the school. They are comfortable, clean, and simple to support yoga experience and learning. Western toilets and indian toilets attached to rooms. Double rooms and single rooms are available.

Program

In this unique course offered by Shree Hari Yoga, you will dive deeply into the realms of pranayama and meditation. You will study philosophy and the history of these ancient practices, as well as learning how to practice and teach many techniques. With such a large amount of time dedicated to your personal practice, you are sure to see the huge transformation over the duration of the course.

Who can join?

This course is open to all. Shree Hari Yoga encourages those who are ready and willing to adopt a healthy lifestyle and dedicate much of their time to the practice of meditation. No previous pranayama/meditation experience is required. Shree Hari Yoga only asks that you come with an open mind and a desire to learn!

100-hours Meditation and Pranayama Teacher Training Course Outline

Modules on the 100-hour course include:

  • In-depth study of the Eight Limbs of Yoga
  • Discussions on the mind, it’s wandering nature and reasons for restlessness
  • Importance of values in life, including the Yamas and Niyamas
  • The practice and study of pranayama as a means to regulate thought patterns
  • Pranayama techniques, including explanation, demonstration, individual practice and opportunity for questions
  • Meditation practices from the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad-Gita
  • Chakra based meditation
  • Yoga Nidra (including both theory and practice)
  • Opportunity to practice teaching pranayama, meditation, and yoga Nidra to a small group of students.

Here you can find a sample schedule to give you an idea of how you’ll be spending your time here at Shree Hari Yoga. You will be involved in your studies and practice from 06:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday. Saturday is a half-day of classes and Sunday is a day of rest for students and teachers.

Karma yoga (selfless service)

In weekdays, you will be engaged in voluntary Karma yoga. This will be a short time either before or after classes. Karma yoga, the yoga of selfless action, will help you to learn and practice yoga holistically.

100-hours meditation and pranayama teacher training course check-in and check-out

Please feel free to check-in any time from 10 a.m. The day is dedicated for you to settle in. You will hold an introduction and orientation opening ceremony for your information, followed by a welcome dinner from 5:30 p.m. onwards.

On the last day, there will be a closing ceremony before your departure, where you will get your certificates. You have time to prepare everything to leave on this day. Shree Hari Yoga welcomes any feedback at the end. Check-out time is 1 p.m., but you may join activities throughout the day as desired. Shree Hari Yoga will hold your belongings safely.

This program takes place in Shree Hari Yoga's lovely location in Dharmashala. The yoga school is situated in a quiet and private place in the upper area of Dharamshala in the Himalayas.

Dharamshala, nestled in the tranquility of the Himalayan mountains, is the home of the world-famous spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama. In the lush green mountains surrounding the school, you will find Hindu temples and Buddhist stupas. A short walk up the mountain will take you to secluded meditation spots with breathtaking views of the valley.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Dharamshala Gaggal Airport (DHM), which is about 12 kilometers south from Dharamshala and about 10 kilometers north of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh town.

Arrival by train

The nearest train stations to the school are Chamunda Marg (25 kilometers) and Pathankot (94 kilometers), from which you can take a taxi to the school.

Arrival by bus

Buses of all classes (deluxe, air-conditioned and regular) travel daily between Dharamshala and major Indian cities (Dehli, Chandigarh, Shimla).
