    "Really good experience !"

our yoga instructor was really amazing, he knows how to adapt to all different levels present in the course. We had some really good asanas classes and anatomy and méditation classes

The place is incredible, the view on the lake is absolutely stunning.

Also everything is very clean, the room are really nice

Everybody there will make you feel like home and they will all the time do everything they can to make you happy and comfortable, they’re all beautiful people !

The yoga hall is all the time opened so you can do your self practice whenever you want which is clearly one of the best thing !

"Shivalaya the home of birds "

This place is haven on earth, located on top of begnas lake, a small village beneath full of charm, and the Himalayan mountain in front, and the jungle all around just wonderful. The food was amazingly delicious organic vegeterian and made with love by the family of shivalaya. The teachers are very competent and professional, and are wonderful warm humains who are always there for you amd share your day, laughter, discussions, complains, contemplation...

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the great super Kamal is always there what ever you need with a big smile and understanding.

This experience open my heart and minde to a new way of life that will change my life, you will learn what real Yoga is about, a way of life from morning till next. 24/24

Will definitely come back one day

"Outstanding instructors, amazing food, beautiful view. "

Bishnu, and the entire staff truly truly make you feel like part of the family. They will literally do anything in their power to make you comfortable, and their desire to make you happy comes from the heart.

One of the first things you will notice on arrival is the stunning view of the Annapurna massif across Begnas Lake. It can be seen from the dining area and the spacious covered rooftop yoga shala.

Rishi Raj Lamsal, who teaches yogic philosophy and Pranayama conveys his knowledge with a satisfying blend of humility, experience, and mysticism.

Aman Naugain who teaches Hatha asana is a world-class instructor whom Shivalaya is extraordinarily fortunate to have. His insights into asana, adjustment, and Indian culture are priceless.

Then, there is the food! The food is everything a yogi could wish for. Vegetarian, organic, locally grown, and in many cases directly from the property. It is a satvic taste of Nepali cuisine. Many of us are encouraging them to publish a cookbook so we can continue to this way at home!

"Enjoy, and leave your Western expectations behind "

I participated in a one month teacher training at Shivalaya, and really enjoyed and treasured my time there. The setting is spectacular and you truly feel lucky to practice yoga in such a beautiful, special and secluded place. Plus, the food is really, really good. You probably won't even miss meat! However, I do have to caveat that this place is great for a person who can leave all their Western expectations at the door upon arrival. The teaching style and approach to a teacher training is very different in Nepal, and you really do have to be flexible (both literally and figuratively) and go with the flow. If you have a certain idea in mind for what you should learn and how a yoga teacher training should run, maybe you should seriously consider doing a training in your own country. But if you're the kind of person who comes into this with no previous expectations or ideas, and just wants to learn, you'll love it.

De docenten zijn oprecht. Ze willen overdragen dat yoga veel meer is dat alleen asanas, maar een manier om een prettig en ontspannen leven te hebben.

De staff (de familie die het centrum draait) is heel betrokken en staat altijd voor je klaar.

Had a wonderful time during my 200hours TTC. We were immersed in the amazing culture and beauty of nepal while doing lots of yoga. What more can you ask for?
