I liked the location of the Ashram and ashtanga/anatomy yoga teacher Aman, he held very professional and innovative classes always assuring the goal of the class was made and that all the students are progressing. Big thumbs for original cooks that made delicious food.

"Just amazing. "
I really had no idea what to expect from the 200 hr ytt when I signed up for it. But I could not have wished for a better experience.
The group of students was not too big (9 people) which meant that there was lots of space for personal development.
The food was amazing (that tomato soup - omnomnom). There was plenty of time in the afternoon to relax and go for a swim.
And just all the people there made it a great experience, both the teachers, the owners, the chefs and of course the other students.
Thank you, Shivalaya.
I will be back.

This place is haven on earth, located on top of begnas lake, a small village beneath full of charm, and the Himalayan mountain in front, and the jungle all around just wonderful. "Outstanding instructors, amazing food, beautiful view. "
Bishnu, and the entire staff truly truly make you feel like part of the family. They will literally do anything in their power to make you comfortable, and their desire to make you happy comes from the heart.
One of the first things you will notice on arrival is the stunning view of the Annapurna massif across Begnas Lake. It can be seen from the dining area and the spacious covered rooftop yoga shala.
Rishi Raj Lamsal, who teaches yogic philosophy and Pranayama conveys his knowledge with a satisfying blend of humility, experience, and mysticism.
Aman Naugain who teaches Hatha asana is a world-class instructor whom Shivalaya is extraordinarily fortunate to have. His insights into asana, adjustment, and Indian culture are priceless.
Then, there is the food! The food is everything a yogi could wish for. Vegetarian, organic, locally grown, and in many cases directly from the property. It is a satvic taste of Nepali cuisine. Many of us are encouraging them to publish a cookbook so we can continue to this way at home!

De docenten zijn oprecht. Ze willen overdragen dat yoga veel meer is dat alleen asanas, maar een manier om een prettig en ontspannen leven te hebben.
De staff (de familie die het centrum draait) is heel betrokken en staat altijd voor je klaar.

"What an amazing experience!"
There was so much to love about this course and it's location. The course was good and we had some great, knowledgeable teachers who were passionate about what they do.
The location took my breath away from the moment I arrived until the day I left.
The food was incredible! The Tibetan bread, the Momo's, the curries but by far my favourite was the tomato soup, YUM!!!
The accommodation was good. My bed was comfortable and the bathroom I shared with my roommate was well sized.
I was given pens, books to write in and a yoga text which is what we studied from.
I felt as though I was part of a big family.
The shala was a good size and there is a garden about a 10min walk away from the ashram where we could swim.
The course content was good. My personal favourite classes were ashtanga, Hatha, anatomy and meditation. We also did pranayama and philosophy which were great classes too. Some days we would do mediation or a yoga class at the garden or outside in nature which I really enjoyed.
Bishnu and his wife were lovely, kind and caring. If we ever had an issue, it would be fix quickly. Thank you!!!
There is a village close by where you can get essentials, grab a tea or a bite to eat at a restaurant on days off, busses to Pokhara too.
I booked this course because of the location, I was not dissapointed. We could see some beautiful snow covered mountains and it felt so peaceful by the lake. Simply amazing.

"Mesmerizing experience "
The location of the Ashram takes your breath away and then fills you up with the most energized and mesmerizing air there is.
We had our daily asana practice overlooking the Annapurna II and the vibe was beyond words. Truly a magical experience.
Bishnu and Ipsa, Didi did everything they could to make us happy in terms of food and facilities. I’m most satisfied and grateful for my experience at Shivalaya.
Our teachers did a great job!
I feel way more confident in my own practice as well as taking on teaching classes and embracing the yoga life.
