Organic garden

The organic garden is full of cutting flowers and many fruits and vegetables for the local recipes. The garden is closed to outside fake nutrients (chemical fertilizers) and instead embraces the natural cycle or system that is contained in an organic garden.

They also pay attention to the tenants of permaculture; care for earth, people, and shared surplus. In addition, throughout the garden you will find evidence of bio-intensive practices as shown by the use of the greenhouse, the efficient spacing of plants, companion planting, and the focus on soil building.

The Garden is home to close to 50 raised beds for growing vegetables. In addition, it is well populated with ornamental perennial plants and fruit trees appealing to all senses.

Mayacamas Ranch hiking trails range from easy to intermediate and wind through chaparral, fragrant bay and Madrone forests, and a natural spring.

Organize a campfire

Mayacamas Ranch was once a gathering center for the Wappo Native Americans where they conducted ceremonies, rituals, and rites of passages. The staff will arrange all the kindling and supplies for you.

Play outside games

The expansive lawn, surrounded by breath taking views, becomes the perfect setting for all types of ball games including baseball, football, badminton, and volleyball. In addition, horseshoes, frisbee throwing, and kite flying are favorite activities for many at The Ranch.

Swimming and fishing

An exclusive, secluded hidden lake features a picnic area and hiking trails. Fishing for bass in the lake is also permitted as long the fish is cached and released.

Swimming and soaking

Surrounded by 360 degree views of Mount Saint Helena and the Mayacamas Mountains, you may take in some of the most breathtaking views in the wine region while lounging and swimming in a salt water pool. Swimming in a mild saline solution is much like taking a shower in soft water. In a salt-water pool, the water feels smooth, your skin feels smooth, and many people feel more refreshed. Festive gatherings can also be arranged poolside.

    Great Retreat

CONS Cons: It is an 'open to the public place (with payment) so it was a little crowded at some of the springs.

PROS Pros: Yoga and meditation was very good, location was peaceful (but busy) and Christine has a down to earth vibe and positive energy. Would recommend to anyone who needs to unplug for 40 hours.

"Christie is absolutely wonderful. I received my Reiki Master certification from her and my mother had a Reiki session with her. I found Christie when doing a general search online for a Reiki Master training and noticed she was a massage therapist and a yoga instructor, just like me. Why did I not know her? I knew I had to meet this woman. Christie was open to doing a one on one certification with me, which was great because I am so busy. She was very clear in how she explained and showed what I was learning, and allowed as much practice as I felt I needed to feel comfortable and confident. She gave excellent feedback, and even offered tasty snacks when we took a few minutes break. "

"I have had awesome results from applying what I have learned to my life and my reiki clients have had amazing transformations as well. I am so thankful that I was able to learn from Christie, she is an amazing energetic healer. My mom's reiki session was awesome too. My mother said she felt very relaxed, as you should be during a session, and didn't notice any immediate effects afterwards except feeling relaxed and good. Then, later that day and throughout the next few weeks, amazing shifts started to happen and mom said it was all things she thought she was just dreaming about while relaxing on Christie's table. Positive changes took place all due to energetic channels open and blockages clearing. Thanks Christie."

"I've been taking yoga classes with Christie onsite at my company for over a year and look forward to it every week. Christie is always prepared with a lesson plan that is tailored to our experience levels but also helps us learn and grow from week to week. Additionally, Christie checks in with us at the beginning of each class to see if there are any individual needs or things we'd like to work on. As a result, the class is both, stress relieving and invigorating, a great combination for any work day. I would highly recommend Christie's classes to individuals and companies looking to promote a happy and healthy workplace."

"I ran my first half marathon since April today. In April, the time was two hours 17 minutes; today, it was one hour 57 minutes. I'm happy. How was my miraculous preparation? The best thing I did to prepare for this half marathon was taking yoga class with Christie. How did yoga make me a better runner? The first thing I learned was to open up for good breathing. That is one thing that a runner and a yogi have in common; it's all about breath."

"One of the most receptive energy healers I have come across, you will find everything and more with Christie. I've had numerous Reiki sessions in many different cities, but Christie is by far the most synchronous one with my needs. You'd be wasting a Chakra if you didn't go see her."

"I've been attending Christie's corporate yoga class at my work for a while and I must say it is the highlight of my week. This class is the perfect break in my stress-filled workday, it benefits both my mind and my body. Everyone in our company sits at their computers for many hours in the day. During class, Christie focuses on yoga techniques that loosen up our tense muscles and calm our buzzing brains. This yoga class is locked in my calendar."

"Best yoga teacher in the Bay Area! I have gone to a few dozen or more of Christie's yoga classes at various levels and I have loved every one. From restoration to yoga level three, I have always left feeling refreshed and relaxed. I never have a hard time sleeping at night when I have taken her class during the day. Even her corporate yoga classes at the workplace really help you get through a work day by lowering stress and allowing you to be more productive at work, with a calm and clear head. On top of that, she is very entertaining and may get a little silly and fun."
