During this retreat, you can choose a dorm, triple, single or double room, or have the option to camp in your own van. All rooms with private bath (available for single or doubles) are all waitlisted at this moment. The rooms are in hotel-style buildings but have no phones or television and have one, two, or more twin beds in case of the dormitory. Most all the rooms will be in the same building as where the classes will be held.

Cabins

Situated in an oak grove, the Oaks cabins, are designed for two people and have electricity and heat but no plumbing. A separate bathhouse with private flush toilets and shower rooms is nearby. The cabins are a 10-minute walk from most meeting spaces and community buildings.

Own van

Spaces are available for your van, camper, or other vehicles. Some have access to electricity, but no other hookups. Showers and restrooms are available in campgrounds and nearby the center buildings.

Orchard room for classes

This house is a clean and simple 28' by 23' meeting space accommodating 15 to 30 people. This space offers a high ceiling, plenty of windows for natural light, and a large deck with an orchard view.

Program

This retreat will consist of Feldenkrais method lessons, yoga, laughter, connection, meditation, movement classes, nature, as well as personal and spiritual growth classes. All classes are optional and all levels are welcome. The amazing mountain accommodations range from plush to rustic, hiking, local vegetarian cuisine, and a whole lot more are on offer.

The Feldenkrais method®

The Feldenkrais method, emphasizes the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. You will be guided through gentle movement sequences that have an extraordinary effect on adapting the nervous system towards its optimal state. The method is great for easing body aches and pains and to help you to regain clarity, focus, and direction.

Sound healing

Sound healing is an improvised, non-periodic, harmonic, and tonal sound created with the intention of restoring flow and clearing congested energy from the body allowing for the nervous system's natural self-healing process to take place. You can expect to feel physical, emotional, and spiritual shifts occur in an atmosphere of tranquility and meditation.

When you combine sound healing and the Feldenkrais method, some of the results one can expect to feel include:

This retreat will be hosted at the beautiful Mount Madonna Center in California, USA. Mt Madonna Center is located on 355 acres of peaceful mountain-top redwood forest and grassland in Watsonville, between Santa Cruz and Monterey and just 20 minutes away from Silicon Valley. Mt Madonna features a spectacular view of all Monterrey Bay.

Mount Madonna Center offers a beautiful, warm natural setting for group workshops and retreats. The 355 acres of redwood groves, hiking trails, and meadows are infused with a sense of peace, spaciousness, and heartfelt service.

This setting also includes a Vedic temple offering ceremonies of light each morning and evening. The community staff and the serene landscape provide a nourishing backdrop to support and inspire you as you delve into the retreat.

Food

All meals are strictly vegetarian. The kitchen uses fresh, high-quality ingredients incorporating organic and local products whenever possible in lovingly prepared menus. Non-gluten and non-dairy options are also available at every meal.

Delicious Indian chai (caffeinated black tea with milk and spices) will be available at each breakfast. Instant coffee is available in the tea selection and a wide range of individual gourmet coffee drinks are also available for purchase at the cafe.
