With its tranquil setting that embodies community, you will have enough space to enjoy your own time on your terrace or on a beautiful sunset lounge where jungle stretches for as far as the eye can see. You can sleep to the soothing sounds of the ocean and wake feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and ready to rock one of the many variety of yoga classes and workshops led by Cindy and Meredith. You can choose to use this retreat as a detox with healthy eating and nutritional guidance or indulge. Either way, it's your time to enjoy!

Amanasala Eco-Chic Resort and Spa is the ideal setting where you can relax and reconnect to yourself. The village like setting consists of two properties, Grande and Chica, both with Amansala’s signature and within a couple minutes of each other.

Amanasala Eco-Chic Resort and Spa consists of 24 spacious well-designed cabanas as well as three yoga shalas and two restaurants serving delicious fresh food. During this retreat, you can choose to stay in a triple, double, or private room.

During this yoga retreat, you will get 2-3 classes of daily yoga. It will include Bikram, Vinyasa, Yin yoga, and yoga sculpt. In the morning, you will have meditation sessions per day. Other than that, you will also get a nutritional / healthy eating guidance and 3 workshops. The workshops will consist of nutrition, arm balancing, and backbend workshops.

  • Meredith Evangelisti

    Meredith took a 9 week Bikram yoga teacher training in fall of 2009. This training marked the end of her corporate days and the beginning of her finally finding a career that was a perfect fit. Through yoga teaching, she has learned so much about how the body moves. She also learned that through her years of skating, her body had taken some abuse and she has sustained a back injury that the yoga alone was not improving. This is when she started working with a strength and conditioning coach. Along side yoga, the strength training was very powerful.

  • Cindy Lunsford

    Cindy is a certified Bikram, Yin yoga, level II / III Barkan Vinyasa, and advanced Forrest yoga instructor. She also completed her 500 hours with both Jimmy Barkan and Rolf Gates. She owns a hot yoga studio in Queensbury, New York. She currently assists Jimmy Barkan at his level II / III Vinayasa teacher training. Cindy leads 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified Vinyasa teacher training. She is an Africa Yoga Project Ambassador. She recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she teaches at several studios.

This retreat will take place at Amanasala Eco-Chic Resort and Spa. It is located in Riviera Maya between the pristine blue ocean and the emerald green tropical forests and jungles. Riviera Maya offers endless possibilities to choose from, such as tranquil sea coves and bays to rougher more open ocean, transparent lagoons and mysterious water springs with landmarks and vestiges of a culture thousands of years old, or the world´s second longest reef which stretches from Quintana Roo to Honduras.

Amanasala Eco-Chic Resort and Spa is set on a beautiful part of the of the beach in Tulum, Mexico. Getting to town is a short 10 minute drive or about 30 minutes by bike. Tulum is located approximately 2 hours south on the coast from Cancun. Tulum has a few charming shops, but is not known for its shopping or nightlife. Playa del Carmen is a 45 minute drive north of the resort, and makes for a nice day trip if you are interested in shopping. The Mayan ruins of Tulum are a short bike ride away and the world famous cenotes are all short trips as well.

During this retreat, you will be served daily meals except for one offsite dinner. You can enjoy creative menus all made with love and local, chemical free produce. It might include fresh caught grilled fish, organic chicken, and seasonal fruit such as mango, papaya, and pineapple. You can also choose from a variety of delicious signature salads that incorporate jicima, pumpkin seeds, and chia that will leave you satisfied, yet feeling lighter and cleaner.

Amanasala Eco-Chic Resort and Spa will serve lots of fresh fruits and veggies, fresh local fish, and chicken. The meals are low calorie but not too low, high fiber, full of valuable nutrients, and lots of flavor. The kitchen is open all day and can prepare you a healthy snack whenever necessary. They can also accommodate vegetarian requests as well as serve coffee and tea in the mornings. Alcohol is also available.
