You will stay at Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat hotel. The hotel consists of 14 luxurious rooms and known as one of the most beautiful boutique hotel in Marbella. Their hotel design is based on the philosophy of East meets West. Thus, all of their 14 rooms have been individually designed with a great attention to details. Rooms are available either shared double room or private room.

The pilates method offered at Shanti-Som, is based on fluid movements performed with control, which is essential for the use of breathing. The method aims to strengthen, improve body flexibility, increase the range of motion and teach you the proper breathing method.

It is accessible to everyone and divided into different level, suitable for everyone needs. This retreat suitable for people that experiencing physical problems such as back and neck problem. Pilates combined with yoga movement will correct the incorrect postural habits and improves body alignment. It will improve coordination of movements and sense of balance. The muscle flexibility, mobility and agility will be increased and strengthened.

It teaches body awareness through a workout and helps to prevent injuries. Each exercise is ideal to relieve most back pains, to strengthen the lumbo-abdominal area, to gain psychological well-being, to reduce anxiety, depression and insomnia. It also strengthens the pelvic area, reduce digestive discomfort and constipation, and strengthen the muscles of the legs and body. It will also help you to maintain weight.

    Nathalie was born and raised in Amsterdam. In 2008 she moved to Spain with her family where they live a remote idyllic spiritual life. She originally has followed a 3 year course in Transformational yoga at yoga centre; Sai Mithra, in the centre of Amsterdam. Transformative yoga is a unique combination of Hatha yoga postures, consciousness of the chakras (energy centre), meditation and relaxation. She has studied the more detailed approach to yoga as developed by D.K.S. Iyengar and learned to teach in the more invigorative yoga styles Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga which will give a total workout.

    Lyma’s first introduction to yoga was in 1999, and for the past 13 years she has been interested in Hatha, Asthanga, Vinyasa flow, Anusara yoga and Zen meditation.She successfully completed the Teacher Training program through The Integral Yoga Academy, and is registered with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) of The Integral Yoga Academy in Yogaville, Virginia, USA. Her love for teaching gives her the gift to create a space where students feel empowered to safely explore the gifts their yoga practise can offer, both on and off the mat, as well as honouring the individuali

  • Javier Medina

    Javier is the Personal Trainer of Hotel Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat. In 2001, he has finished his training in physical education, have acquired knowledge of expression, body, acrobatics, aerobics instructor and anthropology among others, which has developed ever since. In 2014 Javier graduated as a Pilates instructor. He uses mat and machines as reformer, cadillac, chair wunda, spinal correction and other accessories in his techniques that will helps a lot in rehabilitation.
