Shakti Yoga Peeth has rooms available to accommodate students who are coming from all over the world. Staying here means you will be getting an ashram-like environment, but a home away from home. You can either stay on the shared or single rooms, with each room having all the modern facilities. All the rooms are very beautiful, airy, and neat with windows that open to the wonderful surroundings.

In the morning, you will wake up to the chirping of the birds and sun rays that throw the mystical spell over the mountain peaks. Each room is attached to a bathroom, where there is a facility of hot and cold water.

Certifications

Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance USA. Registration with Yoga Alliance USA provides a globally recognized credential.

This is a basic course to make you aware of the different psychological elements and guidelines of yoga. Students are taught yoga skills, make them feel the essence of yoga, and teach them the way to lead and maintain the healthy body and calming mind. The program is certified by Yoga Alliance USA, ensuring that the highest degree of integrity, quality, and standards are maintained in the school. As the program completes, you will be ready to face many more challenges and for going deeper into your yoga practice in the other programs.

The 100-hour yoga teacher training program at Shakti Yoga Peeth is a basic program but which gives students enough light into yoga and help them make informed decisions about their future. Students are trained in all the forms of yoga that includes Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, meditation, and pranayama as well as yoga philosophy under the guidance of experienced teachers and gurus. As the school is located in Rishikesh, students can experience the Hindu culture, visit ancient temples, and enjoy its beautiful landscape. Their level of confidence is doubled after the completion of the course.

This program is drafted as per the Yoga Alliance standards with the strong foundation of teaching all forms of yoga that could make every learner a master of yoga. This certification course has been formulated for those who either have very less time to join conventional 200-hour yoga teacher training program and desirous of garnering yourself as a successful yoga teacher. However, Yoga Peeth also expects complete dedication and hard work on the part of the students.

You will learn mantra chanting during your first week. Your yoga practicum includes alignment and adjustments, as well as teaching mythology. Classes will be held from Monday to Saturday, with Sundays off.

Ashtanga yoga

In the 100-hour yoga teacher training course, you will study the basic elements of Ashtanga yoga and some aspects of Nadi Shodhana. Teaching is conducted as per the tradition advocated by great gurus like Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. The postures in Ashtanga involve ujjayi breath and bandhas (energy locks), besides other forms. The asanas help in increasing concentration, improving flexible muscles, and the strength.

Hatha yoga

In 100-hour yoga, you will learn a set of asanas that ranges from simple to advance. Hatha yoga works on the stiff joints, gives relief from the muscular pain, and calms the mind. From learning to concentrate on the breathing and getting mental peace, students will gain maximum advantage from Hatha yoga practice.

Yoga philosophy

Students get acquainted with the basics of yoga scriptures like Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Hatha yoga, Pradipika Yoga, including the basic knowledge of Sanskrit, and its pronunciation. Discourses are also held on the ethics of yoga that includes yamas and niyamas.

As a young boy, Sri Vivek’s passion for yoga was quickly obvious to father, who started him on the path to understanding. His thirst for knowledge led him to 15 years of living in an ashram, and into the Himalayas to study yoga and philosophy. Inspired by his burning desire to learn, the sages welcomed him, and taught him mystic ways unknown to many. Today, Sri Vivek is pursuing his PhD in yoga, with a goal to never stop learning and dedicate himself to humanity.
Rahul Katariya
Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Hatha Yoga)
Rahul Ji is a passionately committed teacher of Yoga, having diligently internalised all aspects of yogic knowledge. After growing up in a small village on the outskirts of Delhi in an encouraging yogic family, he pursued a career as a concept designer in Delhi. Outside of work he continued his spiritual growth through his own studies of ancient texts and scriptures. Soon, a series of experiences illuminated to him transcendental truths that inspired him to leave his job and immerse himself in the sacred yogic world.

Rahul Bhatt is a master practitioner of yoga, particularly skilled in asanas of Ashtanga. Through a combination of curiosity, talent, and tireless hard work, Yogi Rahul Bhatt has developed a deep understanding of the asanas, and a crystal-clear way of communicating difficult and nuanced postures to aspiring students. Rahul-ji believes in yoga as an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of developing the body, mind, and spirit, and seeks to help his students learn and grow in each of these areas.

Maya-ji’s journey through yoga began a decade ago with a fascination of meditation, mantras, and finding modern ways to practice the teachings of ancient Indian philosophy. That fascination inevitably led to practicing the physical asanas of yoga, with a specific focus on the styles of Hatha and Kriya yoga. After travelling throughout India to deepen her spiritual practice, Maya-ji landed in Rishikesh to complete her Yoga Teacher Training, which she has used to help students connect with the holistic source of yoga.

Food

During this course, 100 percent vegetarian food is provided, which is rich in nutritious ingredients and delicious. The meals will be served three times daily and they are provided as per the scheduled time table. Students are encouraged to have the highly nutritious and sumptuous food from the premises. An Ayurvedic chef will prepare the meals in accordance to the yogic regime. Special food is a prepared for the students who prefer vegan meals and over-eaters.
