Bali is often referred to as the island of "holy water" because of the countless number of sacred springs on Bali and because holy water is the key element in their purification ceremonies. Water represents flow of energy (also known as prana or chi), connected to emotion and intuition. Spiritual cleansing ritual (Melukat) is part of the Balinese Hindu life events (Manusa Yadnya). Its purpose is to purify a human body and soul (as opposed to the cleansing ritual for a building or temple). It is said to wash away turmoil and sickness acquired from negative karma in both this life (prarabda karmaphala) and past lives (sancita karmaphala), believed that these rituals assist in cleansing our bodies on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels.

Permaculture integrates land, resources, people and the environment through mutually beneficial synergies – imitating the no waste, closed loop systems seen in diverse natural systems. As our property is based on these principles, we are keen to spread all the knowledge on how we practice the ways of permaculture through years of trial and error, and without the use of expensive technology. We'll guide you around our vast garden of plants and herbs surrounding the vicinity where you will gain extensive insights on their beneficial properties; discover how decomposition is done; and attain knowledge of how to covert leftover rice to natural pesticides for the plants.
