Set in the harmonious surroundings of Canggu and only a five-minute stroll away from the beach, Serenity Eco Guesthouse offers a tranquil retreat for everyone. Well known by the surfers and yogis, you can come experience the waves or join in one of our daily yoga classes held in our Yoga Shala's. Serenity Eco Guesthouse is a smoke and alcohol free guesthouse - being an official Vipassana meditation group sitting center.
Built in 2010, this building started as 10 single rooms on the 1st floor, opposite Banyan Yoga Shala, to receive students for yoga teacher trainings and has been progressively converted into 8 comfortable single rooms with the use of eco-friendly bricks. The Single Rooms share a toilet & bathroom.
The dormitory consist of Yin, Yang and Sun Rooms, located around the permaculture garden. The building houses 13 beds for solo backpackers.
Our guesthouse rooms consist of a large variety of double and twin beds. Each room has its own bathroom, is more private and comes equipped with AC or both AC and Fan. These rooms all have different names as each room is unique.

These include various yoga styles, such as Ashtanga, Dynamic, Hatha, Restorative, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga that you can choose from.
Ashtanga yoga is a rigorous and dynamic practice that follows a specific sequence of postures and linking movement to breath.
A slow-paced Hatha flow is aimed at lengthening, loosening, and relaxing the body and mind.
Restorative yoga promises you complete relaxation, centering of the breath and body, aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time.
Vinyasa yoga is a breath-synchronized movement, a fluid and flowing practice to strengthen body and mind.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced practice in which poses are held for more than five minutes, targeting the connective tissues, ligaments, bones, and joints.
Fly high yoga lengthens the spine and increases your flexibility with the aid of gravity and the FlyHighYoga™ hanging belt. This class has a maximum limit of six people.
Acro yoga is a modern form of yoga, which combines yoga, performance, and acrobatics. It builds strength and flexibility, but most importantly, trust and teamwork.
Kartana appreciates the continual challenge that yoga presents both physically and psychologically. Active by nature, Kartana also enjoys volleyball, football, and running. He believes yoga to be a perfect complement to other forms of exercise as it improves flexibility, balance, and strength.
Sida is a former self-defense instructor and village chief. He has brought the joy and strength of yoga to many people in Bali, locals and visitors alike. Together with his wife Puspa, they give back to their community by offering yoga classes by donation in Karangasem.
Todjon’s style of yoga class is a mix of the various disciplines, as he studies and practices the various types of yoga such as Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Yin, Restorative, Acro Yoga, under the guidance of many well-respected gurus. On top of this, he also performs Thai massage. Combining the series of breathing, asanas, meditation, and philosophy, his class is often recognized by his students as a soulfully and fun one. He spent a few years studying and teaching in Jakarta.
Yogi teaches a variety of styles of yoga: Vinyasa, Hatha, beginner, and meditation. He was first introduced to yoga in 1992 when a friend introduced him to a monk from India.
Chitra’s passion for yoga started back in 2015. She realized how yoga changed her life - both physically and spiritually. From there, she decided to share her positive experience with others by becoming a yoga teacher. To learn more about yoga, Chitra traveled to India and completed her 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa in Mysore. Later on, she came back to Bali for a 40hr Fly High yoga training at Serenity Eco Guesthouse. She loves to teach, and through teaching yoga, she can lead and help others on their yoga journey and make yoga a part of their daily lives.
Mia Oktari is an experienced yoga teacher who is registered with Yoga Alliance for the last 10 years. Her passion in life is creating and living a healthy lifestyle through practicing Hatha, Yin, Ashtanga yoga, and fitness as well as eating healthy nutritious food. She enjoys incorporating meditation into her daily routine to ensure that she maintain the best physical, mental and emotional condition possible. Her training includes a 500hr study with prominent yoga teachers and scholars from India and Bali. Mia is committed to providing good knowledge in the yoga field.
Mano Hara grew up in a small town in Bali and later moved with his family to Denpasar in search for a better life. At the age of 14, his friend introduced him to martial arts. He worked hard at the sport until an injury kept him from practicing for two years. In 1990, Mano began practicing yoga at Ananda Marga in Denpasar and enjoyed relief from his injury after one year. He tried Tantra yoga and was then introduced to the Master, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. He also practiced daily meditation techniques where he learned from Ananda Marga. Since 2000, Mano has been teaching yoga in Bali.
Ika Dewi is a qualified yoga teacher born in Bali, Indonesia. She believes a consistent yoga practice creates harmony in the body, mind, and heart and develops good habits which lead to a healthy and happy approach to health. As a 200hr yoga teacher registered at Yoga Alliance, she currently teaches yoga in several different studios in Seminyak and Canggu. Ika designs her classes to allow students to explore their personal range of motion and capabilities in relation to each class’s focus. She teaches different types of yoga - ranging from Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa to Aerial yoga.
Yudha completed his 200hr yoga teacher training at Lotus in the Flame School of Yoga and Healing Art. All of his teachings are based on two of his favorite styles of yoga - Hatha and Vinyasa. Yudha then began teaching at some resorts and studios in Ubud as well as the Kuta area. He believes that opening the mind is the key to improve the flexibility of the body, as well as improve focus and concentration. His favorite quote is one from Daniel Scott: "Flexibility isn’t about opening the body; it’s also about opening up the mind to accept what is happening in the moment."
Diaz projects happiness and creativity in his teaching. Blending Vinyasa Flow, Budokon, Qigong, and Inside Flow making the dynamic fusion between mindfulness, movement, strength, and challenge into his class. With a 500hr yoga teacher training under his belt and his background as a choreographer, he brings his class to sequence the poses together like a dance to a whole new dimension. He'll guide your practice out of the box and set your mind and body to expand all sorts of possibilities. His class is rather fun, playful, energetic, and funky at the same time.
Amanda was born and raised in Bali, Indonesia. She was first introduced to yoga by a friend, telling her that yoga can heal the mind and make the body stronger and healthier. After practicing yoga, she found it very inspirational. This created a strong passion to delve deeper into the practice, making her complete two teacher trainings: 200hr Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin yoga at School Of Sacred Arts and 50hr Flyhigh Yoga. Through yoga, she was able to discover how it builds the mind, body, and soul - both off and on the mat to improve flexibility, strength, and balance.
Dewi Manies Yogini (Krisna Dewi) is originally from Singaraja, raised in the most traditional Hindu culture in Bali. Her belief is to respect all the Gods, as well as keeping the body and mind in line with local culture is the natural way of life. Naturally gifted with wisdom in body movement, Dewi has outgrown her shy nature as a child and developed self-confidence through teaching and sharing extensive knowledge of yoga. By accomplishing 450hr yoga teacher trainings in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga, Dewi’s strong and consistent practices is what mainly fuels her teaching.
Lala was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. However, it was only in Bali that she knew yoga for the first time. Started out of curiosity, she ended up getting addicted to dynamic sequence of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and has been practicing yoga regularly for more than 3 years since 2015 after living in Bali. She discovered her passion for teaching since assisting Ashtanga class with Fernando Pacheco, an authorized Ashtanga yoga teacher. In 2017, she took a 200hr Hatha-Vinyasa RYT with the Peaceful Warriors to pursue her passion.
Hannah is a lifelong yoga and meditation practitioner with over 20 years of movement experience. Certified in Washington, DC in 2013, she feels sharing this healing practice is her life’s work. Her teachings are shaped by Tantra, the yoga of dynamism, and the ancient art of Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science. She continues to study asana with Prana Vinyasa founder Shiva Rea and is certified in Thai therapeutic massage by the Shivagakomarpaj School. Hannah offers a diversely influenced Vinyasa style with maximum demonstration and articulate verbal cueing. Classes are fun, intelligently sequenced.
