This yoga holiday includes up to ten daily yoga classes. These include various yoga styles such as:
Aerial yoga combines traditional mat yoga with postures suspended in soft fabric hammocks. With the help of gravity and the hammocks, you can playfully explore floating, fluid movements and create space in your bodies without compressing your joints and spine. Unlike other classes, photos and videos are encouraged in this session.
Guided class following the sequence of asanas strictly in the tradition of Sri K Pattabhi Jois, linking the postures together in a Vinyasa. Traditional and dynamic practice with a deep relaxation at the end of the class.
For all those who want to start their yoga journey, become familiar with the fundamentals of yoga practice, and receive more detailed instructions in the poses.
A chakra-based Vinyasa practice with a changing theme each week (i.e. grounding, opening up, core strength, heart-opening). The class ends with pranayama and meditation.
This is a meditation technique that helps to purify the chakras. Done through the concentration of each chakra: visualizing each chakra's color, shape and also repeating the root mantra of each chakra.
This class is designed to counteract the 'all too familiar' postures of hunching over a computer or steering wheel (the modern-day sitting lifestyle). It helps to open and loosen the joints and muscles around the hips and the chest area. The benefit of this class is decreased back pain and shoulder tightness, as well as improving our spirits to support daily activities.
Creative Vinyasa is the extension of Vinyasa Flow where the movement is branching out from the usual sequence of Vinyasa. This class aims to bring out the happiness within you and to set yourself free and "dance" your body with the rhythm of your breath.
Deep, vigorous and energizing Vinyasa, for core strength, flexibility, alignment, and awareness. You’ll get every inch of your body working together to build all-over strength and capability, beginning right from your center!
Feeling sluggish? Twist it out! Release toxins and leave this class cleansed, glowing and rejuvenated.
This class offers students a balance of gently strengthening and mobilizing poses, dynamic and static poses, linked by conscious breath. Appropriate for those who want a softer, slow-paced, well-supported practice.
Fly high yoga is a mixed practice of Aerial and Iyengar yoga. This is a mixed level class that moves with fluidity and links poses together, defying gravity and eventually learning how to play with it. Being in the air can be challenging yet exhilarating and Serenity Eco-Guesthouse and Yoga will show you how beautiful an upside-down world can be.
Slow-paced practice with an emphasis on strengthening and loosening up the body and increasing concentration to stable, regular breathing. With Hatha yoga practice, your body will feel open and strong, your breathing unobstructed and your mind calm and quiet – ready for seated meditation.
In this class, you will learn about handstand preparation, build confidence and discover how to be upside down safely, in different entries, as well as to maintain balance. You will be doing exercises from wrist preparation, how to use your hand to balance, body positions, to kicking up with control against the wall.
Power yoga is a fitness-based Vinyasa practice. An offshoot of Ashtanga yoga, it has many of the same qualities and benefits, including building internal heat, increased stamina, strength, and flexibility, as well as stress reduction.
Complete relaxation, centering of the breath and body, aligning the physical and mental by practicing mental stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time. Allowing the body and mind to rest and restore.
A guided, completely intuitive practice using movement, breath and sound to awaken the life force and access the emotional and energetic blocks that are ready to be felt and released. Serenity Eco-Guesthouse and Yoga use circular breathing to take you to the gateway of your inner healer. This experience helps you release low vibrational energy and shifts you into a high frequency of pleasure and bliss.
Vinyasa means "Connection of movement and breath". Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic sequence of breath-synchronized poses. Fluid and flowing practice to open and strengthen the body and mind.
This class starts with an energizing, uplifting practice which then transitions to a deep, peaceful practice helping you feel rejuvenated and balanced for the rest of the day.
Slow-paced practice in which poses are held for 5-plus minutes. Targeting the connective tissues, ligaments, organs, immune system, bones, and joints. Yin yoga combines aspects of Hatha yoga, the concept of the meridians in Chinese medicine, Taoist philosophy, and Buddhist meditation techniques.
This class combines an hour-long of meditative stretches of Yin yoga, combined with vibrational tones of singing bowls played around the studio.
Singing bowls are a type of energy medicine that promotes healing from stress, pain, and depression. The sounds can reduce imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder.
This class is the combination of two slow-paced styles of yoga that provides a gateway to a way of life filled with more relaxation, greater mind fullness and, less stress.
Kartana appreciates the continual challenge that yoga presents both physically and psychologically. Active by nature, Kartana also enjoys volleyball, football, and running. He believes yoga to be a perfect complement to other forms of exercise as it improves flexibility, balance, and strength.
Yogi teaches a variety of yoga styles—Vinyasa, Hatha, Beginner yoga and meditation. He was first introduced to yoga in 1992 when he met a monk from India through his friend. A few years later, in 1995, he began his yoga teacher training in the Philippines and completed in India. Yogi wants his students to know that practicing yoga isn’t just to help them stretch their stiff bodies, but also to help them change their entire lives for the better. He notes, “Yoga can change the way you see things, the way you deal with situations, the way you think, and eventually how you live your life”.
Chitra’s passion for yoga started back in 2015. She realized how yoga changed her life—both physically and spiritually. From there, she decided to share her positive experience with others by becoming a yoga teacher. To learn more about yoga, Chitra traveled to India and completed her 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa in Mysore. Later on, she came back to Bali for a 40hr Fly High yoga training at Serenity Eco Guesthouse. She loves to teach, and through teaching yoga, she can lead and help others on their yoga journey and make yoga a part of their daily lives.
Mano Hara grew up in a small town in Bali and later moved with his family to Denpasar in search for a better life. At the age of 14, his friend introduced him to martial arts. He worked hard at the sport until an injury kept him from practicing for two years. In 1990, Mano began practicing yoga at Ananda Marga in Denpasar and enjoyed relief from his injury after one year. He tried Tantra yoga and was then introduced to the Master, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. He also practiced daily meditation techniques where he learned from Ananda Marga. Since 2000, Mano has been teaching yoga in Bali.
Diaz projects happiness and creativity in his teaching. Blending Vinyasa Flow, Budokon, Qigong, and Inside Flow making the dynamic fusion between mindfulness, movement, strength, and challenge into his class. With a 500hr yoga teacher training under his belt and his background as a choreographer, he brings his class to sequence the poses together like a dance to a whole new dimension. He'll guide your practice out of the box and set your mind and body to expand all sorts of possibilities. His class is rather fun, playful, energetic, and funky at the same time.
Taopik Setiawan (Tao) is a natural food chef and yogi based in Bali, fully certified with a 200hr plus RYS Thai Yoga Therapy from Thai Traditional Medicine Association of Thailand. Tao’s teaching is inspired and informed by the philosophy and history of the yoga tradition, bringing integrity and clarity to his classes. Tao wants to create a space, which is inclusive and non-competitive.
