"Life changing"

When I embarked on the retreat, I expected to learn about yoga and come back with the skills needed to teach an effective class. Selena, who lead the bulk of the trainings, and the two experts she brought in to assist in their specialized areas, were amazing. Their knowledge and delivery far surpassed my expectation. The sense of community that was built among those in the program was unbelievable and made the training more effective. This experience was transformative and I feel like I left not only as a qualified teacher but a more well-rounded individual. The food was excellent. The staff at Cafe Playa Negra treated us like family and the cabina was a fantastic accommodation.

The school has authentically taught me how the integration of Yoga into my life is a lifetime holistic journey. With a balanced curriculum of Anatomy, Asana, philosophy, Ayurveda and Sanskrit, students are set up for success. The program builds confidence for the student looking to become a teacher or searching for a deeper connection with the Yogic Path.

I have learned so much about asana, breath and yoga philosophy and now have the resources to read and learn more as Selena’s reading list suggests quality books. This training has enhanced my yoga experience and I feel inspired to teach and go deeper into my practice. Also, I have enjoyed meeting other amazing students with similar goals, interests and insights.

I took my first class from Selena almost two years ago, and I still remember it. Why? Because during that class I had this moment like, “hell yeah”, I found my teacher. Since that first class, I’ve taken dozens of classes from Selena and every time, I walk away with a bit more. A bit more knowledge, awareness, spark, spunk, love, breath, understanding every time, I walk away feeling a bit more alive. My asana practice has grown and benefited from Selena’s mindful sequencing and every other part of my yoga practice (and life) has grown and benefited from knowing her. Selena is an amazing teacher. She’s knowledgeable on every level you could want. She has soul and spirit. She is honest and raw. She’s freaking witty and hilarious. She shows up and requires that you show up for yourself. More importantly than being an amazing teacher, Selena is one of the best people that I know. Anyone is lucky to cross paths with this wonderful human and I highly recommend that you do.
