"Tao meditation retreat to me was a pathway to peace. Best part for me was being able to go into the quiet. Being in the quiet frees you from all your old baggage - all your worries, fears, and untruths."

"Tao meditation retreat was a great reminder that we are all one. It provides clear guidance on discovering our true nature and infinite power for good in the world. I have been holding back expression of my true nature, my essence / soul. I need not get trapped by my emotions, which stem from the expectations of others."

"I spent 3 nights here with a friend for a personal retreat. We came to do some meditations and relax. If you do a personal retreat then you have the option of buying other activities a'la cart. Unfortunately some of the things I was planning on doing they required us to find a third party to join because they don't just do activities for 2 people, and seeing how we didn't know anyone else, and everyone else seemed to be doing a structured retreat, that didn't work out for us. So that was very disappointing. We ended up going into Sedona for the two full days while we were there and explored, shopped, and hiked. So we didn't really get the full experience of the retreat like I hoped. But the facility was beautiful, the food was amazing, the people were nice, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are no frills, no TV, no clock, you need to ask for a hair dryer. There is a fridge in the room though, and they are very clean. I highly recommend the 6am guided meditation with Kathy. She is lovely and the meditation is both relaxing and energizing. It puts you in a great frame of mind for the rest of the day. They provide you with 3 meals per day that are geared towards lacto-ovo vegetarians. The meals were delicious. Here is the most important thing you need to know. The retreat is located way outside of Sedona, it's right near Cottonwood. It is 10.8 miles off the main road Route 89A, on a dirt road. The first time you are going there you better arrive during daylight hours because you will freak out driving on that road. The road is bumpy, rocky, has ruts, holes, and cows. If you drive over 20 mph on the road you are asking for trouble. It will take you 45-55 minutes to get from the main road to the retreat. During the day it's a pretty drive as long as you don't have a headache or back problem. I drove in with a Hundai rental car and it was fine. If you have a hug profile vehicle you could probably drive a bit faster. I would recommend staying there once you get there and enjoy the retreat, driving in and out of there everyday was a bit much. I would go back again, but I would do one of the strutted programs so I could meet other people and get more of a spiritual benefit."

"I just returned from an almost 2 week stay at this retreat center. During this time I took 2 workshops, and enjoyed two days just enjoying the grounds, the surrounding desert, the simple, but excellent meals, and the people visiting and working there. "

"Sedona Mago Retreat Center guides the development of the spiritual self through the physical processes of yoga. The work in these areas of the the human being progress at the same time physical and spiritual in whatever workshop is attended, although the techniques vary. One of my workshops had 12 participants, while the other had 6. "

"For me, it was a deeply fulfilling and joyful experience, and one that is quite affordable."

"If you want to get away from it all and appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature, this is the place for you. Sedona Mago is isolated, completely unplugged, incredibly beautiful and intentionally filled with spectacular opportunities for moments of absolute connection to the spiritual essence of the earth mother. The rooms are basic but meet your needs. The vegetarian food is incredible and easy. It may seem weird to eat in a dining hall but actually it was superb. No hassle. No travel required. Just show up and eat outstanding, fresh, healthy food prepared with love. You can take short hikes, experience several meditative labyrinths, and absorb the calm silence at benches strategically placed to enhance the gorgeous views around the well manicured pond. If you just want to BE at one with nature and truly escape the rat race, this is the place for you."

I admit I was quite happy to have wifi that worked in my room, haha, didn't need THAT much peace! The staff are all friendly & the food was delicious. Loved walking around the grounds, in particular the healing garden. Would go back in a shot."

"My spiritual awakening happened three years five months ago when I decided to become sober. I also knew that my tobacco addiction would be the next step to healing myself. I gave up smoking 11 months ago. My body responded by gaining 40 pounds, my mind had so much information I couldn’t think clearly, my energy level was all over the place, if I even had any. I now know that it is the confusion of my spiritual level. The exercises have taught me how to gain energy within myself instead of outside of myself. I have tools to use to advance my journey. I now have clarity and receive guidance from a higher source. It has helped me to retain, neutralize, and redirect my emotional state so that I feel less upset. Nature is such an important part of my being, I know that Eden is here on earth and Mago Retreat is where God resides. Thank you. I carry you in my mind’s eye."

"I have had many awakenings during these seven days. However, the most important realization was about what was holding me back from accomplishing my goals and my dreams in my life. What I realized was that I was not focused on listening to my soul’s voice. I now know through experience that I need to trust myself and deepen my breathing, so I can become bright and choose the things in my life that would reflect my soul and divinity."

Now I have more conviction for my life and how I can grow and make the world a better place. Reconnecting with my soul in such a deep way is such a gift. Words cannot express my sense of gratitude."
