Canggu Yoga Retreat Bali

Sedasa invites you to this Bali yoga retreat where you experience the silence, the stars at night, and the emptiness that stretches to the horizon that provides a ready-made antidote to the stress of life. Great view, great choices of food from the restaurant, great helpful staff, and the awesome people who stay in the nine other rooms will definitely make your stay at Sedasa one of the highlights of your Bali trip. It is the promise Sedasa makes to you.

Sedasa loves things to be simple but not simplistic. The rooms are spacious enough for you not to bump into things, but cozy enough for you to snuggle. When you are in Berawa, everything feels roomier and less packed with people which are nice. That is why the bedroom has a bit of an extra space for you to ponder with 32 square meters room and 8 square meters bathroom. Welcome to your home away from home. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, in-room safe, and other amenities are available on request.

"I enjoyed this experience. The teacher was good. Staff helpful and friendly. Their restaurant food delicious. I had misunderstood. I thought it was a yoga retreat with more yoga people etc... it was only me! All round a great experience. I enjoyed the other activities. Balinese cooking, massages, included meals and surfing lessons. It was a good time.."

"This hotel really lives up to its motto "10 rooms 1000 welcome". It's located in a quiet are with a rice field just outside, but still within walking distance, of the Berawa beach and a couple of kilometres from the bigger, and more known, beaches of Legian and Kuta. "

"The room that we hade on our stay here was on the ground floor with the pool a few metres away. The room itself was really big and spacious and nicely decorated. All of the staff is friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was really good. "

"We were very happy with our stay at Sedasa. The staff are amazing, even by Bali standards, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and the dining/pool area is beautifully finished. Its in a good location within walking distance to the beach, a couple of great cafes and a crossfit gym. However Canggu is quite spread out so I would recommend getting a scooter, which the staff can organise for you. They also have roof top yoga in the morning, cooking classes and can organise surf lessons. Rooms are great value and include a substantial breakfast and WIFI. Just a couple of things to be aware of, prices for activities are not inclusive of tax and there were a few mozzies around, but with all the rice patties in Canggu I don't think you'd avoid that. If you looking for a bit of luxury in Canggu I would defiantly recommend Samsara Lodge."

"This is now my third stay at Sedasa and every time I return it's like coming home. Everything, from the facilities, to the rooms, and especially the staff are absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect, close to everything in Canggu and an easy ride into Seminyak."

"Rooms are enormous, clean, and comfortable, with great linens, proper duvets, lovely sitting areas, and ensuite baths. There are only 10 so the feeling is intimate and cozy, like being surrounded by friends."

"There is a pool, a lovely terrace, and a restaurant downstairs serving up very yummy food. By far though, the best part about Sedasa is the staff. Every member of the team is dedicated to making your stay an excellent one. They greet you with friendly smiles every day and go out of their way to help you with anything you need - directions, scooter rentals, taxis, excursions, anything at all. They treat you like family and they make every visit a special one. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot to anyone coming to Canggu."

"Our stay at Sedasa Lodge could not have been better. The staff were from the beginning very helpful and all things requested were followed up. From printed out maps to renting one thing or another, getting surf lessons and help and concern when someone got sick. Everyone in the staff from management to cleaners, reception and restaurant were always so smiling and nice to be around. After only a few days we felt like Sedasa was a home. Rooms were perfect with beautiful bathrooms and restaurant with good food at good prices, and a nice rooftop chill out area, no complaints at all. Sedasa seems suitable for both families and young people. Definitely a stay worth."

"We love this relaxed place. The rooms are spacious, clean and welcoming, the sundeck relaxing, the pool nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is also nice and they are flexible with times too. Its in a very quiet area, a few minutes walk to the beach and close to lots of great cafes and restaurants. I can't think of a better place to stay in Canggu. And if you are still deciding where to stay in Bali - Canggu is a great place as its not too touristy yet but a great location to explore from."

"I missed Sedasa and Canggu from the moment I left to explore the must-dos of Bali. My advice: stay there! Sedasa is such a lovely place, exactly like on the pictures. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, the bathroom modern. TV, AC - all there. The roof terrace perfect for chilling or doing early morning yoga with Wayan, which was so relaxing and a perfect start to the day. The breakfast is quirky, but there are also quite a few cafés in the area that have a large selection (recommend: Balifornia Republic). The beach is a short walk down the street, great for surfing, walking or sunsets (check out: La Laguna). The hotel has a small pool and it's good enough to cool off when it gets too hot. And there are two bikes you can use to explore the area. Great way to see a bit of this place that actually has plenty of bars and cafés but just not the crowds of Kuta-Seminyak. And if you miss just that, there's a free shuttle twice a day to Seminyak. But honestly: I just want to go back to Canggu. Oh and thanks to the super friendly staff!."

"The hotel is amid a rice field with a cow and some chickens. The room was very good and clean with a nice bed with nice pillows and a really comfortable daybed. The breakfast was included and has a choice of either Indonesian or American and is presented very hygienic. Tea was free at the bar all day and that was really wonderful. The staff was very helpful and you could see they were well educated. Good English, very good hospitality. Best choice for me for this region. Definitely I will come back. The rooftop with bean bags was also very nice. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach. About 5-10 minutes. Many lovely restaurants nearby at walking distance."

"Great location for a get away from the 'hustle and bustle' of Kuta-Bali. Hosts were extremely helpful and friendly, place clean and enough amenities for a comfortable holiday Beach (Berewa) is walking distance and was the best place to hang out on bean bags with fresh coconut or Bintang. Trips to other areas of Bali are very easy to organize."

" I just spent 3 weeks at Sedasa and I can't rate it highly enough. . The lodge is a short 700m walk to Berawa beach which was a great place to learn to surf. They have a lovely yoga teacher who does morning sessions. It's a perfect distance from seminyak, close enough to visit easily by scooter or a wander along the beach, but quiet enough that you feel like you are in your own little paradise. The deck is wonderful place to sit and have a beer, a romantic dinner for two or in my case many hours working and studying. The restaurant menu is limited but what I did try was delicious. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious.Canggu is my new favourite spot in Bali. It has an awesome relaxed vibe and heaps of fab little coffee shops and restaurants. The highlight of Sedasa is definitely the staff though. They went above and beyond for me and were absolutely amazing and attentive. I have already and will continue to recommend all my friends and family to visit this great new little hotel. It's the best. Thank you Sedasa, I will be seeing you soon!Stayed April 2015, traveled as a couple "

" From the moment we arrived at Sedasa Lodge, and were greeted by their genuinely warm and caring staff, we knew we had found a gem. The hotel itself is beautiful. It has only 10 rooms, but each is spacious, incredibly clean, and very tastefully decorated. The beds are so comfortable that even though we are early risers, we took advantage of this and slept in. Meals were enjoyed in the dining area next to the pool. Here you are surrounded by soft lighting and the lush green of the many plants climbing the walls. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing; the perfect setting to enjoy the fabulous food. The menu is small, but a great variety and everything is cooked from fresh and with care. The staff could not be more sweet and courteous. We took part in a Balinese cooking class with some of the staff one afternoon and had a wonderful time. It was very well organized and we loved eating the food for lunch afterwards. The hotel also has sunrise yoga available each day, and after a few lazy mornings we gave it a try and absolutely loved it. The instructor is great! We also enjoyed relaxing Balinese massages in our room, which were arranged through the hotel. This too was such a treat. There are three surf beaches (Berwawa is right up the street and Echo and Old Man's a short bike ride), for whatever your level, two daily complimentary shuttles to Seminyak beach and the staff at the desk were full of information about all of these spots. The staff even brought in lunch from a local warung one afternoon so we could enjoy a local Indonesian dish, and drove us to the best pizza spot in town one night after dark! We stayed only a short time here, but we were truly amazed by the kind, caring and friendly staff who seemed happy to go above and beyond to accommodate any and all of our needs. We really can't seem to put into words our level of satisfaction with Sedasa, we just hope others find this place and get to see for themselves!Stayed April 2015, traveled as a couple "

"As an ex-expatriate living on Bali for almost 2 years (starting from 2007), I was allowed once to experience the island intensively and love returning to Bali annually to have an active but also relaxing vacation with my partner and show my girl some secrets of the island. Knowing Eric, the present GM and brainchild of the property, both personally and in business, I was informed about this surf camp and the new concept and gave it a try while our last stay.It was a throughout wonderful positive experience that we would like to renew in the near future! The team, service, level of hospitality and quality, truly Balinese identity, the new refreshing concept (e.g. a roof top bar instead of a lobby!), plus the creative mind behind the scene provided many new surprises and pleasures. A true gem that stands out from the crowd. It offers something different to be experienced without a hack of money, but true knowledge about what guests seek, value and need - but also what is an unnecessary burden to the pockets of tourists visiting!"

"Really well furnished new hotel, short walk to beach, short bike ride to restaurants and shopping, the staff very friendly and helpful. The indoor/outdoor pool is cool and refreshing after a hot day in the sun. The rooftop is very relaxing way to sip a cool drink and watch the sunset. We would definitely recommend Sedasa to friends."

"Wonderful place to experience essence of Balinese rural life style. You feel as though you are the king, although what you pay is not that much. The staffs are genuinely polite and helpful. Being small, Sedasa offers comradeship with fellow travelers, sharing experiences and even sharing drinks. The programs offered suited people like me who like nothing more than to have a campfire by the beach, strumming the guitar and singing your heart out; cycling thru the villages in the daylight to see Balinese in real life. When you stomach is empty, the chef served you with the food that suite your taste. If you like more chili, you have it; it is your food, not the chef"s. I had a wonderful stay, and I will be back."

"I was very touched by all the help I got at Sedasa Lodge after an unfortunate accident I had in the sea. Everyone was alert and ready to help with anything I needed. The room was spacey and lovely (found the day bed very comfortable as I spent few days sitting there). The bar staff smiling all the time, the reception staff responding to every need, I was very sorry to leave Sedasa. Couldn't have been a better choice of a hotel for me. The manager kindly gave me few hints regarding the locals which I really appreciated after a strange experience with one of the drivers. And I felt so comfortable sharing the experience with him, so thank you very much! If I travel down to Canguu again Sedasa will be the only place I would consider! Big hugs to all of you!"
