Our 200-hour yoga teacher training program has been formulated by a team of highly qualified and proficient yoga masters in accordance with the guidelines of Yoga Alliance USA. The primary objective of this course is to enhance personal yoga practices of aspirants while cultivating efficient teaching skills in them to nourish their talent as part of their journey to be proficient yoga masters.

Under the guidance and supervision of our team of experienced yoga masters who will also share their yogic experience and wisdom, participants will learn the true meaning of yoga teachings with both practical yoga sessions as well as theoretical methodologies.

School of Yoga provides modern lifestyle accommodation, which include western style bathroom attached to well-ventilated rooms and pure vegetarian nutritious organic food for the participants of 200 hours yoga teacher training in Rishikesh. Wi-Fi connectivity is also available for the yoga aspirants.

The course curriculum of 200-hours yoga teacher training includes both static form of yoga styles like Hatha yoga and Sivananda yoga where the practitioners are supposed to hold a posture for longer duration as well dynamic form of yoga styles such as Ashtanga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Flow yoga and Power yoga which are associated with physical movements synchronized with breath between postures.

The participants are rewarded with 200 hours yoga teacher training certificate after successful completion of the course, which allows them to get registered with Yoga Alliance USA as 200-RYT. It is a globally recognized yoga teacher certification, which allows creating unique yoga sequences and managing yoga classes anywhere in the world.

The three major elements of a teacher training are asanas, pranayama, and meditation.

Asanas (postures)

  • The aspirants shall participate in learning classifications, characteristics, objectives, methods, benefits as well as rules and regulations of various postures.

Pranayama (breathing control)

The aspirants shall participate in learning types of pranayama techniques like abdomen breathing, thoracic breathing, clavicular breathing, yogic breathing, dynamic kapalabhati, surya kapalabhati, chandra kapalabhati, alternate nostril kapalabhati, traditional aapalabhati along with methods, contra-indications and benefits of pranayama.

Yogic relaxations and meditation

The aspirants shall participate in learning powerful methods and benefits of meditation and its application in stress management and enhance mental ability to improve personal performance in all areas of life. Yoga Nidra is included in the syllabus of 200 hours yoga teacher training program. Methods and benefits of various mudras (gestures) and bandhas (locks) are also taught in training course.

Shatkarma which includes various therapeutic procedures such as Jala Neti, Sutraneti, Agnisara kriya, Nauli kriya and Tratka are involved for cleansing and detoxification of body to attain mental balance and create harmony in the energy system are also covered in the course curriculum. Yoga therapy to alleviate and cure pain and other chronic diseases are also taught to the participants of the course.

Effective teaching methodologies are designed to transform inspired yoga aspirants into proficient yoga teachers by preparing them with all essential qualities required to manage yoga classes and create unique yoga sequences with the help of various techniques and tools.
