You'll be staying at Schoold of the World's accommodation. School of the World accommodation is filled with tons of boutique hotel style design details including tropical hardwoods and bamboo, stained glass, handmade ceramic sinks, mosaic floors, custom furniture, a Zen waterfall fountain, and artwork throughout. The facilities include a common kitchen and dining area, a yoga studio, photo or video editing studio, 2 Spanish classrooms, offices, 12 guestrooms, a small swimming pool, and a relaxing garden. All of the 12 guestrooms are a little different in design but the amenities are the same.
All of the rooms at School of the World accommodation have private bathrooms, air conditioning, ceiling fans, hot water, refrigerators, cotton sheets and comfortable beds. If you are traveling alone and want to stay in a shared guestroom, School of the World will pair you with someone of the same gender and age range or you can request a roommate and School of the World will happily accommodate you.
School of the World certified instructors blend a variety of styles including Ashtanga yoga, Iyengar yoga, Anusara yoga, and Vinyasa flow. Yoga classes are 1.5 hours in duration each day, from Monday to Friday. Yoga and surfing are both good for your body, mind, and soul.
This combination of yoga and surfing is sure to keep you feeling amazing inside and out. Surf sessions are 2 hours a day. The yoga schedule changes weekly to accommodate the surf schedule and tides. Whether you are a beginner or have years of experience, School of the World’s intention is for you to leave with the tools necessary to enrich and deepen your practice.
This retreat will take place in Jaco, Costa Rica. The accommodation is located in a quiet neighborhood close to the center of town, and is just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, dozens of great restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and everything else you could need.
Food is not included in School of the World programs. However, the accommodation provides refrigerators and a fully equipped shared kitchen. There is also a wide array of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance.
You will want to fly into Juan Santa Maria airport (SJO) in San Jose. School of the World can arrange for an airport pickup for 90 USD. When possible, School of the World can help arrange car pool for guests arriving at the same time so you can share the costs. If you would like School of the World to organize the airport transfer for you, School of the World will need your flight number, airline name and arrival date and time.
