Simone MacKay (E-RYT / YACEP) is a seasoned yogini and has taught yoga and trained yoga teachers in various locations around the globe for over two decades and will assist you in exploring the higher levels of this ancient practice. Simone is an expert in yoga Nidra and has trained directly with Richard Millar in Irest, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli in Total Yoga Nidra and Kamini Desai in The Amrit Method. Simone holds safe space with humble grace and that comes from compassion and a wealth of experience.
Leticia Tika Qantu Sideris
A 5th generation member of a shamanic tradition from Chachapoyas, Leticia has studied, trained and practiced with various indigenous tribes in Venezuela, Columbia and Peru for close to a decade. She now holds medicine as well as sweat lodge ceremonies for the Sacred Valley Tribe, with strong, motherly energy, a blooming feminine wisdom and exquisite music. Leticia is a Moon Dancer and pipe carrier in the Mexican tradition of Teotiuacan. She holds Women’s Circles around the pipe arising the prayers for sisterhood, care and love for Mother Earth and all sentient beings.
With degrees in botany and education, Paul, an avid rock-climber and secondary-school teacher, traveled to India, where he lived in an ashram for fourteen years, studying yoga, meditation and Sanskrit. Arriving in Peru in 1999 to explore the shamanic use of traditional plant medicines, Paul now owns and operates the Hummingbird Retreat Centre (together with his partner Suzanne) based on the principles of sacred geometry and designed to support the ceremonial use of Huachuma (San Pedro Cactus) as well as the integration of this ancient tradition into contemporary life.
Dr. Sujatha Kekada
Dr Sujatha Kekada is the head physician and co-founder of Amrtasiddhi and a certified Ayurvedic doctor (B.A.M.S). Having completed her degree in Karnataka, Dr Kekada worked as an Ayurvedic consultant in some of India’s, Asia’s, and Europe’s top clinics and health retreats before coming to Bali in 2004. Dr Kekada’s deep knowledge of Ayurveda combined with her warm, intuitive, and caring attitude has facilitated deep healing for many people. Applying not only Ayurveda but also Theta healing in her approach, she is able to successfully address and assist with emotional aspects of healing as well.
Founder of Essential Nature Yoga, Irish nomad, and Celtic, yogini Emma Lowe facilitates yoga and yoga Nidra practices which merge yoga and nature-based wisdom. She has been Communications and Creative Director and assistant facilitator with Somah Journeys since 2018. Emma sees yoga as a vehicle for personal and social change and is passionate about women’s health and sexual reclamation. Emma runs popular ‘Wild and Well’ women’s self-care workshops that include teachings on the feminine principles, sacred menstruation, hormone balancing restorative yoga and Yoni Nidra.
