Mindfulness Taster Weekends, set in a luxury boutique mansion house in rural Norfolk. Perfect if you have heard about mindfulness and would like to immerse yourself in a small group introductory retreat weekend, without compromising on luxury, and within a schedule that allows plenty of time for rest and relaxation. You will be spoilt with delicious cooking, seamlessly provided by a team caterers Satvada Retreats have been working with for some years.
You will be Georgian manor house. It has been meticulously restored by its current owners, who have blended striking period features with impressively swish contemporary touches, including underfloor heating, powered by a biomass wood pellet boiler.
Eight large bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, boast six-foot super-king beds that can be split into two good single beds. The rooms and bathrooms come equipped with luxury toiletries, fluffy towels, and fine linen. There is space in abundance here, especially for a group that which will be no larger than ten guests.
Arranged over four floors, the first floor houses two living rooms, decked with comfy sofas. The large, open-plan kitchen and dining room boasts an enormous 16th century table. A large walled garden backs onto open countryside, so plenty more lounging spots to be found Al fresco.
You will love everything about this house - and especially the spacious meditation room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and views straight out to the garden.

Lucia is a co-founder of Satvada retreats and sister organisation, Yoga At The Mill, a highly regarded yoga and mindfulness studio in Chelmsford, Essex. Lucia has been practicing yoga and meditation for almost 20 years, and teaching for ten. With a background in wellbeing journalism, she re-trained as a yoga teacher after seeking a less desk-bound lifestyle. Lucia has trained intensively with leading yoga and meditation teachers. She is passionate about the ability of yoga and meditation to transform how she feels physically, energetically, and emotionally.

Satvada Retreats' fabulous team of chefs will rustle up delicious vegetarian and vegan meals over the course of the retreat. You will enjoy three plentiful meals a day, where all the cooking, clearing away, and washing up will be taken care of.
Satvada Retreats' caterers have been looking after the mindfulness for well-being guests for the last two years, and Satvada Retreats can be relied up to deliver wholesome but tasty home-cooked food that's healthy, but occasionally naughty.
With advance notice, dietary requirements can be catered. For breakfast, expect free range eggs with wholemeal or rye toast, muesli and yogurt, washed down with coffee, tea or herbal tea.
Lunch is typically home-made soup, perhaps butternut squash or sweet potato with a lovingly presented side salad. Dinner is two courses - favourites are generous home-cooked vegetarian shepherd's pie and sticky toffee pudding for desert.
