Sardinia Yoga is a yoga holiday rather than a retreat. They have a yoga class every day so you can arrive any day you prefer and stay for as long as you like (minimum 3 nights). After a morning yoga by the beach on the stunning north east coast of Sardinia at Porto Cervo, you will have a delicious brunch that will leave you feel energized and refreshed, ready to spend the rest of the day doing exactly as you like.
You will stay at the fabulous 4-star Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo, right by the beach at Cala Granu Bay. The hotel has classic rooms which have a view of the garden or the pool. The rooms are en-suite and can be used with double or twin beds. You can also enjoy a classic sea view room (1 or 2 floors upstairs) for a small extra charge.
There will be yoga class every morning for 2 hours. This is followed by a buffet-style brunch of healthy Italian food which all the guests will eat together. The rest of the day is then free. In most weeks, Sardinia Yoga has 2 different classes taking place simultaneously on separate decks and you can choose which one to attend, one will be gentle Hatha and the other will be Vinyasa flow.
The classes are suitable for beginners and more advanced yogis, and the teachers have plenty of time in the 2-hour class to give everyone individual attention. Extra yoga sessions in the afternoon are available.
You can enjoy visiting local markets, exploring local islands on a fantastic boat trip, tennis, spa treatments, cycling, and many other activities. For the evenings, there are local bars and restaurants within an 8 -10 minute walk and guests often meet up for social dinners. There are no restrictions on food or alcohol.
You are welcome travelling solo, with friends or as a couple, and you can get involved socially as much or as little as you like as the retreat has a very relaxed social vibe.
This luxury yoga retreat will take place at Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy.
Pre-yoga light breakfasts and brunches are included in the price. The brunch is all healthy Mediterranean food in a buffet-style meal so you can choose to eat whatever you like.
Dinners are not included in the price.
The hotel offers dinner every evening from 19:30. There is also a pool cafe, and in higher season, a beach bar. There is a choice of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. 8 - 10 minutes' walk takes you to a piazza with several restaurants where the guests often eat in groups, and some offer the guests a discount. 5 minutes’ further walk takes you to the marina where there are many more restaurants.
Luxury spa massage and other beauty treatments are available on-site at the hotel's Finnish spa at an extra cost. There is also a sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi with fabulous views.
The closest airport is Olbia, which is 30 minutes' drive from the hotel. Olbia is served by many European airlines including Lufthansa, Easyjet and Meridiana. Some guests who cannot get direct flights to Olbia prefer to fly into Alghero in north-west Sardinia. Alghero is 2-3 hours' drive from the hotel. Hiring a car is an option and the route is very beautiful if you enjoy that sort of adventure. Alternatively, a taxi transfer all the way from Alghero to the hotel would cost about 200 EUR. These can be found online or the hotel can book one for you. There is no reliable direct public transport. Sardinia Yoga does not recommend flying into Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia. It is a whole day's drive from the hotel and locals would fly from Cagliari to Olbia rather than drive.
