    • Sarah Linsey

Sarah has been practising yoga for over 15 years and attended her first yoga class in London with Julie Friedeberger, a BWY teacher in the early 1990’s. Her interest and fascination with yoga led her to complete a two year training course with the London Yoga Teacher Training in 2005. In 2006, she completed the Calm for Kids training course with Christiane Kerr, qualifying her to teach yoga to children of all ages. Sarah currently teaches regular yoga classes to adults and children in and around the Sevenoaks area.

    • Christiane Kerr

Christiane has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 20 years and she has attended many courses, both in the US and Europe on mindfulness, mindful self-compassion, and meditation.

This retreat will take place at Oxon Hoath. Set in the heart of the West Kent Rural Conservation Area, the ancient Manor of Oxon Hoath has 73 acres of its own beautiful, tranquil gardens and parkland and is a joy to explore. The exotic trees and romantic gardens, sweeping lawns and mysterious woodlands, hidden dells, secret gardens, courtyards, and sculptured lake create the perfect environment for self-discovery, profound learning, and spiritual development.

    • Review by Karen Ward

"I love my weekly yoga class so much so that I now try to go twice a week. I have always hated exercise classes, but yoga is totally different. It makes you feel good about yourself, even if you can't get into all the positions. The relaxation at the end is fantastic. I wish I could take Sarah home with me so I could fall asleep straight afterwards. I really look forward to my class even when it means going out on a cold, wet, January night and my husband is under strict instructions never to be late on a Tuesday!"

"I started yoga in September 2006 and have found it to be both stimulating and relaxing. I have had lower back pain for a few years now and the yoga has certainly eased this. I feel revitalised when I leave the class each week, as though it gives me an inner strength and I notice that I am suddenly sitting upright and holding in my tummy muscles. One thing to note, I have never been able to sit on the floor with my legs out in front of me and lean over and touch my toes with my hand. I achieved that last week! Thank you Sarah."

"I took up yoga to help with back problems. The stretching and deep breathing have helped immensely. As a working mother, I look forward to my yoga sessions, for some ‘me time’. It helps me unwind, relax and feel restful."
