    A home away from home, an experience like no other, nestled in the rustic lush greens of the village, just 8 kilometers from main smart city. Thankfully it is one of those villages in Himachal that is still stuck in time, and Saptrashmi doesn’t intend to change that characteristic feature of this tranquil haven. Accommodation is old Indian style cottages, with attached Western style toilet and shower. It is double sharing cottages. Single cottages can also be arranged on extra charges. Come experience the true Indian Heritage!

    A balanced yoga practice is known to rejuvenate the body, increase vitality and train the mind to be strong and flexible in the face of stress and change. It balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and promotes creative potential. For many years now, yoga has helped in healing the pain of physical illness, mental pressure, drug and alcohol dependence and other addictive behaviors.

    Detoxification

    Detoxification is one of the best ways to remain healthy in a polluted and toxic environment. These are signs that detoxification is needed: unexplained headaches or back pain, memory failing, brittle nails and hair, frequent allergies, exposure to cleansing solvents, pesticides, diuretics and certain drugs, etc.

    One of the benefits of detoxification is that liver, kidney and blood purification can take place, which wouldnt occur during regular eating patterns. Other advantages include: the immune system stimulated, the hormonal system is enhanced and dependency on substances such as sugar, caffeine, nicotine or alcohol can be reduced.

    Nestled in the mystic hills of the district of Kangra is Dharamshala, a hill station that captures your imagination with its picturesque natural beauty and unique mix of Tibetan, British and Himanchali cultures.

    Quietude surrounds Dharamshala from all sides, and it also offers some of the most picturesque views of the adjoining Kangra valley and the snow-clad Himalayas beyond. This is as close as you can get to harmonious bliss in the hills. As hill stations become popular, their beauty tends to get hackneyed by excessive commercialization and often irresponsible tourism, but Dharamshala has managed to keep off this trend; it is still as pristine as a concealed hilltop hamlet should be.

    Dharamshala is broadly divided into two parts; Upper and Lower Dharamshala. Upper Dharamshala, also referred to as McLeodganj is the major tourist attraction, as it is more scenic and is home to the Dalai Lama and magnificent Buddhist hermitages. Lower Dharamshala, on the other hand, comprises the civic structures like educational institutions, offices, the bus station and hospitals.

    This hilltop retreat, perched almost 1,500 meters above sea level, is the abode of the holy Dalai Lama, and is a major pilgrimage for Buddhists (also referred to as the ‘Little Lhasa’), as it houses several monasteries, including the Tsuglagkhang Complex where Dalai Lama resides, and Namgyal monastery, which is one of the most important Buddhist temples in India.

We would have liked more Ayurvedic care (in the end, we were not able to get a visit, for diagnosis and recommendations, with an Ayurvedic doctor), but Tarun certainly provided a lot of useful tips and advice on healthy living.       "I enjoyed my trip to Saptrashmi in Goa. Tarun was a good host who tried to ensure that I got to experience Goa when not doing Yoga. Tarun was also helpful with providing wifi and arranging transport when I was due to leave. The Yoga was challenging and Tarun pushed me. I'm not convinced I am as flexible as he thought but it was a good challenge! My door to my room did not initially lock, this was rectified the next day and the property felt safe! "
