Yoga Retreat France

This retreat is a perfect treat for you, a blend of all things yoga and fun! Over a weekend, the experienced yoga teachers will take you on a yogic journey to rediscover your joy. This retreat comprises asana practices, meditation, introduction to kriyas, philosophy discussions, mantra chanting, and yoga Nidra; and all this combined with Sattvic and delicious vegetarian food three times a day. You will also take daily walks in the forest to connect with nature and rejuvenate the soul. It’s the best recipe to bring alive the body, mind, and soul! The rooms are comfortable, all with a bathroom and decoration inspired by India. Rooms are on a sharing basis with one or two persons. A modern and comfortable dormitory with eight beds is also available. A private room is a possibility depending upon availability and a surcharge of 200 EUR.

Prachi and Benoit, a Franco-Indian couple along with their daughter, Sadhana, welcome you in traditional Indian style to their chambres d’hôte style bed-and-breakfast, located in the Mont-Blanc region of Haute-Savoie, ideally situated between Geneva and Chamonix.

The Yellow Room

This room can accommodate up to eight people (eight single beds). With a surface area of ​​30 meters squared, with a thorough view, this shared room has two bathrooms and offers individual storage spaces, bedside lamps, and sockets for each bed.

The Blue Room

With a surface area of ​​16 meters squared, it is equipped with a bathroom and offers a view of the mountain. It's ideal for two people (with two twin beds of 90 centimeters or a king-size bed).

The Pink Room

With a surface area of ​​25 meters squared, it is equipped with a bathroom and offers a relaxing view of the forest. It's ideal for two to three people (two twin beds of 90 centimeters or a king-size bed. Cots are available on request.

Program

You will have three days in full immersion, yoga classes, healthy and tasty vegetarian meals in a relaxing atmosphere, and hikes that will recharge yourself with a nice energy.

Located in Scionzier, in the heart of the French Alps between Geneva and Chamonix, Sanskriti is a beautiful property which has recently been lovingly restored. The retreat center is located at the end of a quiet street and overlooks a lovely forest and a beautiful river on one side and the majestic Alps on the other. It's a perfect place for a retreat center where you can meditate with the sound of the river or take long walks in the forest. In your free time, hang out at the on-site café or take a walk in town and try the local boulangerie full of French goodness.

Food

All the food that Sanskriti carefully and lovingly prepares reflects their desire to provide you with the best ingredients for a well-balanced and nourished life. In their café, as in their philosophy of yoga, they hope that each part of you will be re-energized with every dish! Each food has it’s unique value and variety in taste, appearance, and nutrition; your bodies will soon show you their gratitude!

Restaurant and cafe: The Hungry Yogi (All day dining, juice bar, and tea salon)

Join for lunch in the bright dining room, or on the terrace at the edge of the forest on sunny days. If not, come hungry any time of the day and they will feed you! Come anytime and enjoy their delicious vegetarian cuisine made from fresh and organic vegetables, homemade juices and smoothies, vegan desserts (with or without gluten), a wide variety of teas and coffees, and healthy dishes all day long.

At lunchtime, the vegetarian kitchen offers a set menu that changes once a week. The food is made from fresh produce, organic, and sourced locally as much as possible. The dishes, both healthy and delicious, are a tribute to the Indian cuisine from which they are inspired.

  • A welcoming ambiance

Relax barefoot and enjoy the flavors and aromas of the delicious food, exchange stories with one another or peacefully admire the scenery. Depending on personal preference, you are free to lounge on a couch or sit on a cushion on the floor.

  • Teatime

Choose from the many world teas and coffees they have to offer as well as light snacks which are served throughout the day. Take a book or time to dream lulled by the river, or work in peace, away from the bustle and agitation of everyday life.

  • Care of vegans

Vegan options are also available; gluten-free options are on request. Sanskriti understands the adverse environmental impact of animal farming and they also believe that the dairy industry is a very cruel industry where the mother and child both suffer for humans. To add on to it, consuming dairy on a regular basis is bad for health. Although not strictly vegans themselves, they use dairy and other animal products sparingly and most of their dishes are vegan.

Once on the A40, take the exit n°18 Scionzier-Cluses Sardinia. At the first roundabout after the toll, turn right towards Scionzier and continue straight on for about two kilometers.

Driving directions from Chamonix

On the A40, take the exit n ° 19 Cluses. At the first roundabout second exit, Avenue Louis Rouxel. At the next roundabout third exit, Mont-Blanc Avenue. And at the third roundabout, take the third exit, Avenue de la Colombière/Route des Grandes Alpes. After one kilometer, turn left on the Rue du Bourg Dehors.
