This exploration, within the structure of Bill's teaching, will provide an opportunity for you to reflect on your practice.
Designed for everybody, including desk jockey, serious athlete, weekend warrior, occasional, or a dedicated yogi, each of you will find an opportunity to nourish your bodies through yoga and this exclusive environment.Yes, your body will love that much yoga! The entire retreat is designed to adapt the practice to exactly what you need at that time. This is the yoga of listening, learning, and practicing. There will be two practices per day.
The morning practice will incorporate as a 'focus' on one or more of the basic posture-modalities, including standing, seated, inverted, balanced, or twisted postures. This practice with be specially-sequenced, in which you will practice releasing tension and building skills each day. Each morning practice will include options for each student to explore their own techniques in more depth.
The afternoon practice will, in general, be an opportunity for the day's previous activities at Dove Mountain to be welded into the yoga retreat. It will be restorative (poses supported by props), include pranayama (breath work), include elements of Yin yoga, and provide an opportunity for 'special requests' or meditation. Daily meditation will be offered each evening for those interested.
Yoga practices are optional. Both morning and afternoon practices are accessible to anyone, at any level. The movements of each sequence are accessible for all who are willing to learn. Each practice is sequenced to allow the more experienced yogi options to incorporate their skill, yet subtle enough for even the beginner to fully enjoy the practice.
The sequencing, posture options, and sheer variety of adaptations explored will benefit everyone. This retreat will be invaluable for teachers who wish to hone their skills and learn to incorporate some of the subtleties of technique.
Golfing at The Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course is offered at a significantly reduced rate for all participants of the Yoga Retreat. Daily access to The Spa at Dove Mountain is also available at a reduced rate.
Bill has completed both 200-hours and 300-hours advanced teacher training, and teaches daily at Sanctuary Yoga.
