Winter season draws us naturally to quiet and introspective practices. Take this cue of nature and make winter an opportunity to dive deep into your practice. In order to maintain internal balance through the shifting of the seasons, it is vital that we change with the seasons just as nature does.
On this retreat, you will learn how to smoothly transition through winter by adapting our daily habits, yoga practice and food choices. Ironically it is only through change that you can stay better grounded through the shifting of the seasons.
All activities in our program are included and the opportunity to attend all of the yoga and meditation sessions. The schedule is designed to include two yoga classes a day, apart from Friday which will only include one yoga class after your arrival. Morning classes are intended to be with more movement to start that day and warm up, in this retreat we will focus on Gentle and De-stressing practices. The evening classes are a restorative style to prepare us for a good night sleep. We specialize on Traditional Hatha and Restorative styles. Beginners to yoga will get an introduction to yoga postures, breathing practices and relaxation techniques, while the more experienced will be guided in how to deepen their practice.
We feel dedicated to your personal evolution. Our team of wellness experts provides workshops and education to help you achieve your health related goals. Our guest speakers and lifestyle mentors support deep inner work to facilitate lasting and real change on your mindset and perspective toward healthy living. On Saturday we will dive into the neuroscience of Self-Care and Rest. We will talk about essencial information about what happens when we stress. Through simple language we will learn how our body and mind changes when we become tired, sick and things that affect our performance. We will provide a safe space for participants to feel comfortable sharing giving us an opportunity to listen deeply and express authentically. The aim of these workshops are to encourage people to understand that the love they give to themselves from themselves is to be valued and used daily.
Massage Therapy: During the Retreat we will allow time for our guests to enjoy a 30-min session of their choice as reflexology, reiki, scalp & neck or alike through a specialized therapists. We encourage our guests to pre-book their preferred time to enjoy this therapy session. This is an ideal treat to de-stress and rejuvenate yourself.
We will enjoy a Sound Healing evening session on Saturday. This is a form of vibrational healing which works on the energy system of the body in ways similar to Homoeopathy, Crystal Healing, Reiki and Bach flower remedies to name a few. The crystal ‘singing’ bowl is made of quartz and the effect upon the body and consciousness of the individual is tremendous. Crystal Sound baths help to facilitate a shift in your brain waves so that a deep state of meditation and internal healing can occur. Crystal sound therapy is just one way of achieving a meditative state without having to master the practice of meditation. This experience is perfect for beginners however those more experienced can reach a theta state (deep meditation) or even a delta state (where internal healing can occur).
Silent Walking Meditation will be practiced through our Retreat. This practice is designed to bring body and mind in sync. Meditating while walking is a way to get the mind to walk with us and to bring a relaxed focus to our everyday.
