"Sanctuary Hill - Ayurveda & Meditation Retreat"

This was my first retreat & I loved it, and I will definitely go back. Bhavani's yoga was amazing, and she explained everything very well and went at the group's pace. Ram cooked beautiful vegan meals, and each meal arrived with a nutritious or detoxing juice. He also ran the evening meditation, and we got to experience Yoga Nidra too.

The retreat had a tranquil and uplifting atmosphere, and I enjoyed spending time with like-minded people. Most importantly, I felt extremely relaxed and peaceful throughout the time of the retreat and for several days after.

"Beautiful spot for a relaxing and inspiring weekend"

I could not pick what my favourite part about this retreat was. The food was excellent - Ram really is an amazing chef. The meditation sessions with him were very refreshing and I enjoyed the fact that he offered us different types of meditation rather than sticking to just one. Bhavani does the best relaxation at the end of class, her chanting is very melodic and truly amazed me. I enjoyed every yoga session with her - especially the restorative one. The location of the retreat is magical - you are surrounded by greenery, lots of great beaches and Bush walks. The yoga studio with its large windows and wonderful views is breathtaking. The spa was another highlight of mine.

"You Got to Go to Sanctuary Hill"

We are from the United States and were on our dream vacation to NZ. Visited the South Is. We then went to North Is. We wanted to end our amazing trip with something special and unique and found the Food for the Soul retreat. We love healthy plant based food, Yoga and Hiking. We got all three at Sanctuary Hill, in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The food that Ram prepared was better than you can get at fancy places in New York City, Bhavani is a great Yoga teacher, I am no Yoga guru, but she took care of me and everyone at their level of ability, Kara-Leah opened up a new world of unique plant-based foods and we even made pesto from "weeds". The hike was a most unique and gratifying experience. My only complaint is that we had to leave. In summary I loved everything and would love to go again and again ... Highly recommended.

"All-around wonderful experience at The Sanctuary"

I attended the 3-day creative retreat at Sanctuary Hill with Bhavani and Ram- it was wonderfully perfect. The accommodations were extremely comfortable and clean. The sun-drenched yoga studio is stunning with huge windows and such a warm, inviting feeling. Yoga with Bhavani was thoughtfully, intuitively tailored to our group, and the evening talks resonated so much with what I was seeking- greater presence, mind-body connection, space to reflect and heal. Now for the food: I was a little nervous about at first as I typically eat more animal protein however, Ram and Bhavani prepared such filling, healthy meals which were more than sufficient sooo delicious. Left me full and satisfied every time. I absolutely loved the close-knit, family feeling in this modern, natural setting and highly encourage everyone to try the retreats here.

"Relaxing retreat "

Restorative yoga classes and guided meditation were a chance to reset and relax. There was also walks or other optional activities during the day which was great so you could do as little or as much as you liked. Bhavani and Ram asked for feedback and tailored the classes to our needs. Delicious healthy food so came back feeling refreshed and light. The rooms were clean and tidy and you felt well looked after.
