This retreat offers different techniques that could help you experience meditation, it is designed for mind training. From past experiences, SANATANA YOG SANDESH knows the ability of the mind which can witness and identify with external and internal objects, visualize, imagine to hold on to any particular internal and external object. These can be used to understand the mind and to explore the recess of the mind.
There will be 2 live sessions daily for 6 days when you join this yoga and meditation retreat.

The 'Pratyahara and Dharana retreat' incorporates several topics which help one to enter into the yogic culture of meditation. They are:
Different basic postures from Hatha yoga such as purificatory asana for lightness and purification of body, standing, supine, prone (backward, forward, spine twist), inversion and balance, specific asana for meditation and relaxation such as Sukhasana and variation, Ardha Padmasana, Padmasana, Siddhasana, Siddha Yoni Asana, Swastikasana, Dhyana Veerasana, Vajrasana, Padadhirasana, etc.
Techniques for correction of breath, breathing to heal and energize, breathing to balance, breathing to cool and harmonize.
Some basic gestures of fingers and body affect the energy in the body such as Jnana, China, Bhirav and Bhairavi, etc.
Jala Neti (nasal cleansing)
Basic practices for mind management such as the study of sitting asana, yogic breathing with awareness, peace establishment, the stillness of body, awareness of senses, awareness of thought process, and yoga Nidra.
More specifically Kayasthairyama, Sharira darshan and Aatmajnana, Bhao aeroplane with still things.
Symbols such as Shivalainga, Cresent moon, fire, etc.
During the retreat, individuals would be required to participate in Karma yoga (depending upon the requirements you may be involved in this activity).
For online yoga, a great degree of self-motivation is essential. Here are a few things which the participants should be aware of.
The students should have a basic understanding of following a disciplined program such as punctuality, reverence and devotion.
For YTTC, the students should have a basic understanding of yoga which means they are exposed to Yoga practices.
They should be able to practice the discipline of yoga such as purity, punctuality, early waking up, participation in daily activities and so on.
They should be able to motivate themselves to continue with the lifestyle, the school prescribes for them such as on-time classes, food and other guidelines according to their need.
They have proper access to the internet and use devices which help follow the program.
In academic education, Satyanarayan completed his B.A. (Bachelor in Arts) from Bundelkhand University, U.P., India. He completed his YTTC 200 from Rishikesh to document his credential for Yoga Teaching. As he grew into his knowledge and experience, he taught Yoga at many Yoga schools in Rishikesh. He still teaches in Rishikesh and his classes are loved by people from all age group. In the year 2018, he chanced to visit Denmark where he conducted several yoga teaching workshops which brought to him international experience, acclaim, and excellence.
Rohit is the founder and lead trainer of Sanatana Yog Sandesh. Literature, metaphysics, Tantra, and yoga have been matters of interest in his life since a young age. Having started yoga classes at Yoga Sansthan, he visited several places to disseminate the principles of yoga along with its practices. He traveled to many countries of European Union such as the Netherlands, Germany, etc, where he received a lot of exposure to various aspects of human life and could feel how yoga could be implemented into several walks of life.
Niveda Arora comes from Delhi. She has been a trained Yoga instructor with 5 years of long teaching experiences to various Yoga teacher training courses across different states of India and abroad.For the last 2 years Niveda has been in Rishikesh teaching at various Yoga Schools to students coming for Yoga Teacher Training from all parts of the world. In Yoga teaching her interests are Hatha, Vinyasa and Anatomy lectures.
Neha was born and raised-up in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. She was introduced to Yoga in her childhood while reading Srimad Bhagavad Gita. It brought a deep influence in her childhood psyche. Since then she has been naturally attracted towards the practice of Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation.
Naomi Nakajima is a very experienced Yoga teacher. She studied into many fields of education. She worked as a designer and as a stylist and assistant photographer but she continued as a professional photographer. She moved to the Netherlands and studied medicine for decent livelihood. After the study, she started working as a pharmacist. She travelled to India to fulfil promises to her mother. Here Yoga and Meditation became her interest. She did for several years different kind of Yoga trainings like Hatha, Astanga, Yin, Kundalini, Meditation, Kriya, Chanting, Prayer, Kirtan and Rituals etc.
This yoga and meditation retreat is held online. Sanatana Yog Sandesh is based in Rishikesh, India (IST/GMT+5:30) and they will live-stream the classes via Skype/Zoom/other online platforms which you can participate in from the comfort of your home by just using your phone or computer. You need to prepare a yoga mat, computer, and internet connection. Participant's proficiency in English is also needed for this retreat since the instructions will be delivered in English.
