Are you ready to experience the real island life? Sleep under the stars while camping on our own private island? In collaboration with Layag Philippines, Samyama Yoga will take you on an adventure going deeper into the islands away from the tours and crowds. All the sumptuous meals will be prepared by their boat crew throughout the journey.
You will camp out in less crowded places - Tapiutan Island and the nice Ipil Beach for the first two nights. The rest of your stay will be in a family-run resort on Caalan Beach, the quieter end of the El Nido, with majestic views of Cadlao Island. Rooms will be on a twin sharing basis.
As a way of expressing gratitude to mother earth, you will perform the karma yoga and seva (selfless service) by dedicating a day of hopping from one beautiful island to another to enjoy its clear water and white sand beaches while collecting rubbish along the way. Part of the revenue from this safari will be shared with the local community who are involved in its operation and sending children to school through scholarship grants.
You can do as little and as much as you like. You also do not have to do any yoga at all. Various styles of yoga styles will be offered throughout, either a flowing Vinyasa sequence to wake you up before breakfast, or a Restorative or Yin yoga at sunset to cap the day. Guided pranayama and meditation to complement your practice. All levels and abilities are welcome. Yoga sessions will take place where there is space.
This journey is not for everyone. Before applying to take part in this safari, you must understand that what Samyama Yoga offers is not a luxurious yoga holiday. This is a journey to the remote islands in El Nido. They do not guarantee that you will have a nice relaxing time. In fact, they do not guarantee anything.
There might be bad weather and there might be rough waves. You will have limited privacy. Some of the things you will experience might include barking dogs, crowing roosters, mosquito bites, jellyfish stings, sunburn; but that is the nature of an island experience, the unexpected, the unknown, stepping outside your comfort zone.
An island safari is included in the price. The safari will be around the Bacuit Bay. You will go around the most renowned sights during the times when there will be less tourists - the lagoons, as well as hidden and secret beaches. You will camp out in less crowded places - Tapiutan Island and the nice Ipil Beach. You can also go to more remote islands depending on the schedule for the day and what the group is looking for. You will be going deeper into Bacuit Bay to avoid the crowds.
