About the training

Anyone who knows about Kundalini and believes in it has this hidden desire to awaken it. They say that once Kundalini's awakening happens, it transforms an average human into a supreme being. Probably, that is the reason why a lot of people around the world are attempting this act of courage, determination, and sacrifice. While they are quite occupied in their venture, there are quite a few people who know very less about Kundalini, and what exactly it means when you say Kundalini awakening.

Let yourself first understand the meaning of Kundalini, it simply means ‘that which is coiled’, and it can also be interpreted as ‘coiling like a snake’ or ‘coiled up’. It is considered a vital force or energy that you all hold within yourself. Kundalini is represented as a serpent coiled around the root or Muladhara Chakra, the first of seven chakras at the base of the spine. This is scientific because it provides technology, a method by which anyone practicing Kundalini Yoga can experience this process of unfolding and awakening that identity inside.

It is much more than a physical exercise system. It is a dynamic, powerful tool for expanding awareness. An interactive course on the theory, practice, and basic skills of a Kundalini yoga instructor consists of 180 hours of instruction in the classroom and 40 hours of independent service. To train a practitioner of yoga, to help him understand yoga as part of the Vedic sciences, and to provide all the necessary tools to develop yoga teaching skills, such as knowledge of

  • Analytical training in how to teach and practice the techniques
  • Guided practice of the techniques themselves
  • Study of anatomy and physiology along with its application to yoga practice
  • The study of yoga philosophies and traditional texts
  • Principles of demonstrating asanas and use of language and voice

If you are considering joining it means you have a longing for deeper, inner discovery. This course is a deep dive into the study of yoga. The program is truly special, not only for its content and practice but also for the loving intention which was put into every detail that surrounds it.

Samridhi Yoga School teaches the yoga asanas of classical Hatha yoga. For each posture, they will show you how to enter the position, the correct alignment in the final position, the Sanskrit name and the English name, the modifications, the benefits, and the contraindications. The Kundalini yoga asanas combine breath, Mudra, eye focus, mantra, and body locks to offer a positive effect on the body, mind, and soul of an individual.

2. Pranayama (one hour)

The practice of pranayama is crucial for preparing your body and mind for meditation. The program includes the theory and practice of the essential methods of pranayama. "Prana" is a vital energy in the body and "Yama" means to control; on combining, pranayama means "control of breath".

3. Meditation (one hour)

Kundalini meditation mainly aims to awaken the Kundalini energy present in the chakra located at the base of the spine of an individual. Sit still, close your eyes, block your mind from other thoughts, and get induced into a state of peace, power, and meditation.

4. Mantra chanting and kirtan

Sanskrit mantra recitation during your morning Surya Namaskar practice will bring strength to your muscles, organs, respiratory system, and chakras. In addition, it will allow you to experience the rhythm of meditation in motion. Close your eyes and speak out the powerful mantras, the powerful OM.

5. Mudras and Bandhas

In Kundalini yoga teacher training courses, they teach the energy seals and locks of classical Hatha yoga. Bandhas are crucial during pranayama practice and are integrated with Mudras.
