Yoga at Samana Wellness is an exploration of the body, mind, and spirit through awareness of breath and structural alignment. Yoga postures are one of the 8 limbs of yoga, a system for healthy vibrant living focused on recognizing our wholeness as individuals and our interconnectedness with everything on the planet. Samana Wellness yoga instruction integrates yoga’s holistic philosophy for balanced living both on and off the yoga mat.
Through what seems like magic, the way your blood moves reveals qualities that attribute to health, vitality, challenges, and concerns. Having your pulse assessed is like opening a window to your inner world. Once you tune in with what’s going on inside, you get to choose what you do with that information and how you want to live the next chapters of your life.
Pulse assessment can be practiced in various ways: from Traditional Chinese Medicine to classical Ayurveda. Danielle reads pulse in the Tibetan Ayurvedic tradition taught by DeAnna Batdorff at the dhyana Center in California. This style goes beyond the doshas (Vata, Pitta, and kapha) to describe the qualities or gunas (such as Vata dry, Pitta sharp, or kapha slow) that make up each person’s uniqueness. With this detailed information, Samana Wellness then addresses the imbalances with their direct opposite for optimum benefit.
The subtle balances and imbalances that can be detected in a pulse assessment offer great information about the body, mind, emotions, and innate tendencies that make us who we are. After understanding the default settings, the influence of environment, diet, and lifestyle choices, and what can be done to create a change, you will be empowered to take charge of your health.
Clarity coaching is an opportunity to be truly honest about what you want to cultivate in life (physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually) and to take action to get results. Whether you are searching for more fulfilling work, a better relationship with food or exercise, harmony in your love life, or a consistent meditation practice, this session can help!
Instead of gazing outwardly as if into a crystal ball, clarity coaching urges you to look deeply within yourself to identify goals, dreams, and visions for your life. This is done in part by learning to recognize your body’s own unique messages for “yes” and “no”. This self-connection process allows you to move beyond the dizzying web of stories and false identities often spun by the mind.
Once some clarity is achieved, themes and patterns of what you have shared are reflected back to you for review and refinement. Then, you work toward aligning your inner-most desires with your thoughts, words, and actions. Ongoing accountability support is available as needed for integrating your action steps into daily practice. Some people are ready to fly solo after a single session, others choose to continue coaching for years, and most land somewhere in between these extremes. There is no magic formula for how long the process takes, but you are guaranteed to learn a lot about yourself and many useful mindfulness practices along the way.

This retreat will take place in Maui, Hawaii, USA. The accommodation you will be staying at is only minutes from the beach.
Four meals which consist of one breakfast on May 6, one lunch on May 7, one lunch on May 8, and one lunch on May 11 will be served for you on this retreat. Please note that there is a fully-equipped kitchen onsite with plenty of space for groceries as well as a plethora of great nearby restaurants to try.
Please book your flight to arrive at Kahului Airport (OGG). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Samana Wellness will pick you up from the airport.
