During the retreat, you will be staying at Samahita Retreat. Situated on Laem Sor Beach, Samahita Retreat is surrounded by towering coconut trees in a quiet, spacious area, with incredible sunrises and sunsets that play with the colors of the water, sand, and tropical fauna. Only a few hundred meters away is the well-known Laem Sor Pagoda, which houses the remains of Leung Poo Daeng, a realized monk. The only other structures in the area are villas privately owned. As such, Samahita’s beach is private and virtually undisturbed, creating a beautiful, peaceful setting for you to enjoy your Thailand yoga holiday retreat.

As this side of the island is protected by a natural reef, there are only some parts of the year when the beach directly in-front of Samahita is high enough to swim. When the tide is low during the summer months, you might prefer to take long swims in the center’s saltwater swimming pool or swim out to deeper water through the boat channel.

The main shopping areas are still within easy reach, about fifteen to thirty minutes away by car or motorbike and Samahita Retreat’s gentle setting inspires long, refreshing walks on the beach or through the meandering back roads.

The retreat center is forty-five minutes away from Koh Samui airport, and taxi drivers will know how to get to Laem Sor. Directional road signs will also guide you to Samahita Retreat as you begin to approach. Nonetheless, it is recommended that you book a taxi pickup with Samahita, just to be sure.

This retreat will take place in Koh Samui, a tropical island in the gulf of Thailand that still has long stretches of pristine beaches and unspoiled land. Koh Samui is only about an hour away from Bangkok by air, an hour plus from Singapore, and three hours from Hong Kong. The island has the allure of a remote island paradise but with the accessibility of the region’s most popular destinations.

  • Samui Airport (USM) - 45 minutes
  • 13 nights’ accommodation
  • Complimentary boat and snorkeling trip

During this two week retreat, you will practice and explore the subtle and internal principles of the Ashtanga Vinyasa series from the inside out. Looking closely at the whole body patterns of yoga postures and the movements that connect them together, you can experience the effect of meditative alignment on the practices of pranayama and meditation.

In the afternoons, you will study Sanskrit chant, meditation, and the Siva Samhita, one of the great classical texts on Hatha and Tantric yoga. Composed sometime between the 13th and the 16th centuries, as a dialogue between Shiva and Parvati, the text is a composite of many approaches to yoga.

Philosophically, it wraps all techniques and schools into the Advaita Vedanta of the Tantric Sri Vidya. There are beautiful sections describing mudras, chakras, nadis, and all types of practices and visualizations. This text will stimulate new levels of your own inquiry and give you more depth in practice.

The program begins at 5:00 p.m. on the first day of the retreat with a group welcome and departure is at 12:00 p.m. on the last day. The schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the teacher.

  • Richard Freeman

Richard is an avid student of both Western and Eastern philosophy, as well as Sanskrit. His ability to juxtapose various viewpoints, without losing the depth and integrity of each, has helped him develop a unique, metaphorical teaching style. Richard has been a student of yoga since 1968. He has spent nearly nine years in Asia, studying various traditions which he incorporates into the Ashtanga yoga practice. Starting in 1974, he also began an in-depth study of Iyengar yoga, which eventually led him to Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga.

  • Mary Taylor

Mary Taylor began studying yoga in 1971 while earning a degree in psychology. It was not until the early 80's that yoga became a central thread in her life. Mary has authored three cookbooks and co-authored a book which explores yoga, meditation, and finding one's personal dharma as a means of attaining lasting meaning and happiness. She brings a deep respect to her teaching for the healing and calming effects of yoga. Her classes are engaging and fun, focusing on the flow of breath, steady movement, and the feeling of completeness that can be cultivated through a lasting practice.

Get your taste buds tingling with Samahita Retreat’s fresh and healthy dining. Drawing upon Ayurvedic principals, Samahita source local produce whenever possible to create food prepared with love (and delicious Thai flavors!). During the retreat, you will be served daily full brunch and dinner buffets.

Combine your retreat with a health or wellness spa add-on program to make the most out of your stay. You are invited to enjoy rejuvenating massage and treatments at an exclusive rate. It is recommended that you book your health or wellness spa add-on program in advance as much preparation work is required and space is limited.

Beaches and towns

For deep swimming, beaches on the north and east of Samui have less reef protection, with Chaweng’s powdery sands drawing in vast crowds of tourists from around the globe. A hub of shopping, nightlife, and entertainment, this bustling metropolis feels like a million miles from the tranquility of Samahita Retreat’s quiet beach. Silver Beach near Lamai is still reminiscent of old Samui with a few family run resorts and restaurants and is a favorite for swimming beach with the locals.

Children’s activities

With over 1,000 feet of bouncy castles, tunnels, slides, and swings, children under eight can burn off steam at Fairways, the islands first soft play center while parents relax in the coffee shop downstairs. It costs 100 THB per child and is open seven days a week.

Children and adults also can get up close and personal with a range of tropical birds and animals at Paradise Park Farm. High on the mountain of KhaoPom with panoramic views of the ocean and tropical jungle, there’s also a playground, infinity swimming pool, and restaurant.

Nearby attractions

As well as being a tropical haven of beaches, five star hotels, and spas, Koh Samui has a rich Buddhist heritage and is home to many active temples. Only a five minute walk from Samahita Retreat is the Laem Sor Pagoda. With its shining golden tiles and peaceful atmosphere next to the mangroves and the ocean, you can also visit the remains of Leung Poo Daeng, a realized monk and climb up to the Khao Chedi, high on the mountain with breathtaking views.

Wat Kunaram is home to the preserved body of the revered Lung Padaeng, known as the mummified monk as he is still sitting in the meditation position over 20 years after his death. The most iconic Buddha statue on Samui is Wat Phra Yai, or Big Buddha temple not far from the airport, where you can climb the steps up to see the large majestic Buddha. Only a short drive from the retreat center is Wat Ban Plai Leam where you will find is a large selection of intricately designed temples.

To discover authentic Thai food not far from Samahita, you can take a taxi ride to Nuch Green Talay in the fishing village of Tong Krut for delicious curries, seafood, and friendly service. For lunch with a view, there is nowhere more magical than the Jungle Club, with tasty food served in bamboo salas on the mountainside overlooking the ocean.

Shopping destinations

For holiday trinkets and gifts, visit the peaceful and traditional port town of Nathon, or the busier bustle of Lamai. The island’s largest tourist hub is Chaweng which is home to miles of stalls and stands selling everything from carved elephants to buckets and spades. Feel free to barter and be aware that many of the clothes and handbags are counterfeit. For beautiful high quality hand crafted Buddha statues from Thailand and Burma, visit Double Dutch next to Big Buddha temple.

Join an organized tour from Samahita and the long tail boats (with shade) will collect you right in front of the shala and whisk you off to the peaceful tropical islands of Koh Matsum and Koh Tan for snorkeling and relaxing. Enjoy the stunning islands of the Anthong Marine National Park on a fun packed day trip, made famous by Alex Garland as the setting for his novel, ‘The Beach’.

You can swim, snorkel, and visit the park headquarters on a beautiful white beach and climb to the view point for a breath-taking panorama, before lunch and a visit to the emerald lake. Discover the best dive sites in the region with the award winning 100 Degrees East Samui Dive Team on board their 35 feet dive speed boat.

See the sights of Samui with Mr. Ung’s full day magical jungle safari. From temples to waterfalls, monkey shows to traditional rubber tapping, these highly professional and experienced guides will show you the best of the island from their iconic four-by-four jeeps.

For those interested in learning more about Thailand’s martial art, Muay Thai, visit the Muay Thai camp in Lamai. And if you’re a lover not a fighter and you want to see some Thai dancing, it is available at many of the islands hotels and restaurants. However, the fine dining and romantic atmosphere at Zazen in Bophut is a lovely setting to enjoy this beloved art form.

"I was in Samahita, on Koh Samui for two weeks individual yoga retreat in january. The place is just magical, and luxurious, hotel staff and spa staff very nice and friendly. Massages were very professional. Yoga was amazing. Food was delicious. Just to mention some things, not really as complaints rather as recommendations for improvements. Kitchen stuff was sometimes not so friendly as rest of the staff and not so flexible. ( cant really ask anything which is not on the menue eventhough they have all the ingridients). I booked a package with massages every day and upon arrival was hard to find a a timeslot/ noone contacted me before for arrngements. Outside of this small things my overall experience was very positive. I am definitely planning to go back and I would highly recommend to anyone to visit this little piece of paradise!"

"I had an immediate click with Anouk. It was important for me to be able to trust the person I share my personal experiences with. Every time I had a session with her, I felt good. I felt lighter. She helped me to open my heart and to have contact with my mind and body. There was no judgement or criticism in her eyes. She didn’t tell me how to deal with things according to books. She asked me questions and the answers came within myself. Questions still rise in my head after a year of biweekly session with her. However, she taught me how to observe them from different perspectives, to have balance and connection between mind and body, and to bring harmony in life. Now I take yoga lesson with her and it just feels great."

  • Review by Elizabeth Y from Washington, DC

"The rooms at Samahita are pretty austere for Thailand standards... very clean bed, large but no-frills bathroom, lights... desk... that's about it. No TV (because you're supposed to be on a meditative retreat). That said, wifi has been good, and I was able to read a couple of e-books which I haven't done for a while. They have a number of cleanses to go on. I tried their juice detox. The juice part was pretty easy and because you have to drink so many different drinks (including fresh coconut juice), I was never hungry. That said, what I never got used to was the infrared heat rooms, the enemas, and colonics. The former being able to heat your cells to detoxify, and the latter cleansing your bowels...I later found out that the reason the bathrooms are large are for proximity while doing the coffee enema. (yeah... TMI). However, that was what I signed up for and I did feel better afterwards. "

"As for the yoga, they have a a standard program following the Ashtanga tradition, but I found that I enjoyed the classes much better if I joined a weekly workshop with a teacher I resonated with. (Their schedules are listed on the Samahita website)."

"Bottom line, if you're looking for a detox retreat (diet, electronics, meditation and physical yoga practice), this is the perfect place. If you're looking for an overall vacation experience, then you might want to look elsewhere."

"For us the best part of our time was the very fresh salad at every meal and the rest of the food was also quite fresh and tasty. We booked a 3 day package for massages took full advantage of yoga classes twice daily at very reasonable times. Enjoyed relaxing plenty of time on the beach or near the pool! The room was super comfy and nice. Great staff. Enough can't be said about the quality of our experience. Well worth it!"

"This was really a very nice experience! The Resort is super clean and new! no old Rooms or dirty places to find! It is a very green and clean Resort! Excellent for relaxing and get rid of all stress you bring with from Homecountry. Breakfast is delicious and fresh! As the Breakfast Buffett is really important to me I was very happy to find this there and there you could find everything you need! It is an expansive Resort though! Many things are not included in the package I booked which made me only stay two or three days. I think it would be nice - if booking a Package - that at least one or two spa treatments or some juices or the Steam room would be included. all these extra costs make it really too expansive. The Yoga and Gym Team is really friendly and good and motivating! I loved it! The Sycle Course in the early morning is excellent! The Yoga and Meditation afterwards also very good! There is only one thing I would say it is negative - and important - is the Staff at the Bar/Restaurant and the Spa! They are not friendly at all and not motivated and every day every time ordering something was not really a pleasure. Especially the Spa Receptionist, she was rude and not friendly at all. There are so many Massages and Treatments and no one explains anything. She just sits there and is rude. But the Therapists at the Spa were very nice and took good care of any wish. "

"For that kind of Price you pay at this Resort, the Staff could at least be a little bit more friendly. Otherwise it takes away the pleasure wanting to come back again or recommending the place."

"Samahita is a special place with a special energy. You can book yoga trainings/retreats or wellness / weight loss programs."

"I did my teacher training at Samahita 5 years ago and always wanted to come back, which I did this March/April for a retreat."

"The shalas are beautiful and perfect for your morning/afternoon practice."

"The food is one of my highlights at Samahita, brunch includes fresh fruit, juices, oatmeal, cow's and veggie milk, various egg-dishes, toast, jam, the world's best self made peanut butter and so on... lunch is great with mainly vegetarian thai dishes, sometimes fish. Same for dinner which is just as yummy. Food is prepared based on ayurvedic principles, though I got the feeling that compared to 5 years ago, a lot more animal protein is being used as well as garlic."

"In addition to the buffet you can order a la carte from the sattvic restaurant."

"The apartments (single superior) are basic but very sweet, cleaned on a daily basis, shower has complimentary organic shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand wash. There is a fridge in the bedroom, air conditioning and a fan. "

"Facilities: steam room, pool, beach towels. You can rent paddleboards and bikes from the wellness counter."

"The beach is not the most beautiful, since sometimes a lot of trash is being washed onto the beach. The water is clear and beautiful tho. "

"Staff is very kind and tries to solve every problem you might come up with. "

"If you want to relax, eat clean and well and at the same time practice with great teachers, Samahita is the right place."

"Samahita came as a recommendation from a friend who has previously been there on a yoga retreat. I chose the de-stress program as I am in between jobs and needed some time to de-stress, relax and recharge before my new chapter. I had initially booked a longer program but had to reschedule last minute and were very accommodating. The place is not large but has a nice cozy feel to it. The staff are very friendly and met many yogi's/ other people from all different backgrounds. The food is mainly vegan with some dairy and fish. I had initially thought that I would be dining on bowls of salad during my stay but pleasantly found a good selection of tasty options. The pool is tiny but there's a private beach right behind it. Although I was only there for a few days I came out refreshed and relaxed. Such a difference! I'm sure I will be back again and recommend this to anyone who wants to improve in their yoga, need to de-stress and relax or need some time on their own."

"Hotel has direct access to the beach, rooms are quite basic but they are clean and well equipped some have outdoor showers some get nice sea views we got the electrical cable! Yoga room on the beach is a bliss, massages are *****, food mainly vegetarian is always fresh, tasty, super healthy of course, each meal was a pure delight. Only attention point is the front desk staff very surprising and unique in Thailand they are extremely unfriendly and the last time they smiled might have been??? opening of the hotel? It's a pity because we have been satisfied about everything else."

  • Review by Ofira

"Booked 6 days of the wellness spa package and cycle core yoga. Left 2 days before the check out date ( and no one really inquired why...). The property was surprisingly small at a nice beach in the southern quiet part of Samui. Swimming pool is very very small. Not enough parasols at the swimming pool or at the beach so it is very hard to spend there the time between classes. This is very dissapointing when the place aspires to be an health center and does not provide enough protection against the strong sun of Samui. I enjoyed the morning pranayama class and the two daily yoga classes as well. The teachers were very good, however they didn't give enough safety instructions so I would not recommend beginners to go there. The restorative yoga class in the afternoon was very nice and relaxing. Yoga shalas are beautiful, however we did not practice on the one that is on the beach because of a workshop that was held there. Spa treatments were nice, but I had better ones in other places on the island. Rooms are clean and very basic. Please note that rooms on the ground floor do not have enough privacy. Air conditioning in the room was very noisy and loud and did not cool the room enough (more guests had the same complaint). The reception service was very rude and unhelpful, when approached them with problems (and there were some problems). Another issue that I found disturbing was that they do not provide yoga mats or towels for yoga practice (you can buy in their shop. The prices are extremely high and are not Thailand prices). Also bring a bottle of water with you, because if you do not have you will have to buy a plastic one in their shop. I appreciate the eco friendly attitude, but the place seems to be motivated more by money making considerations (which is fine but it is what it is). Guests of the place are wonderful people from all over the world. They have a great part in creating a nice atmosphere. Lastly, the food. One of the best things in the retreat was the wonderful amazing vegan and vegetarian food and there was plenty of it. Bottom line - just okay. At the price you pay here you can book one of the most luxurious resorts on the island or improving your yoga practice somewhere else. I did not feel that I received enough value for the money paid. Maybe if you are doing a group retreat/ workshop you can enjoy Samahita better."

"I have been several times to Samahita Retreat, and it has always been a great experience, nice sharing moments, amazing yoga practices. Workshops are of excellent qualities. I was lucky to do my teacher training with Paul, I have learned so much from him. The shala is so nice, excellent for the morning practice. The rooms are very comfortable, very quiet. The food is really top quality. I loved the herbal steamed room. The center is situated in the south of the island, far away from the crowd. I wish I could go back soon!!! I have learned so much while I was there. This is a place of high spirituality. Thanks for being there!!"

"I am just returning from a weeklong yoga retreat/training at Samahita. The grounds are lovely and the facilities cater to groups just like ours. There are several yoga rooms, a pool and a cycle room. The spa services were enjoyable and the staff is very pleasant. The food was designed to meet the needs of the group, from fish and curry dishes, to raw vegan and vegetarian. The rooms are clean and modest; however, I must say, the beds were extremely hard! And the pillows were super high/thick. This is my only complaint."

Nothing bad to say about this place: amazing delicious food, a real culinary experience letting us appreciate vegetarian healthy food; amazing service with great welcoming, very helpful staff; very qualified teachers who love what they do; beautiful beach; delicious drinks, treats, excellent spa and massages; very clean and comfortable rooms. We followed our first yoga and meditation classes there and had the best coaching. Further we loved the combination with fitness and spinning. We met wonderful people here and learned a lot about the philosophy around yoga and meditation. It was a very enriching experience. We will come back here for sure !!"

  • Review by James from Bali, Indonesia

"Samahita has to be one of the friendliest and most welcoming places I've ever visited. In part it's a yoga retreat and fitness center; in part it's a beach resort (with no alcohol though), and in part it's an ayurvedic massage and wellness center. The three are all supposed to be complementary, though they occasionally get out of synch as the yoga is really the most important. The beach setting is idyllic (though some of the beaches on either side are a bit trashy). The rooms are large, comfortable and nicely furnished though by no means super luxurious. The food is ayurvedic and, considering that this is a health retreat, rather good. The nicest part is the laid-back atmosphere, Dining is buffet-style and informal and after a few days we ended up knowing most of the people there. The yoga staff are well-trained and marvelously supportive."

"Samahita offered me a wholesome physical and mental environment and the chance to wind down in an atmosphere of integrity, peacefulness and kindness from staff and and fellow retreaters. I did three full days of pranayama, asanas, core strength training and a bit of cycle. Liked yoga sessions the most, and also liked having the option of several classes. Coming from a past of mostly Mysore and now doing led classes felt comforting and safe. And instructive! Not surprisingly, three days felt too short because it took about three days to get fully immersed and I would have wanted to stay longer as I felt my health improving: yes, you can arrive out of shape and stressed out and get that first sense if cleansing your mind and nurturing your body. I loved the food, and my semi shared loft was of high standard. It's luxury in simplicity. The premises are quite small but gorgeous and you are really feel at peace far away from tourists and at a place where people care. The beach yoga shala and fitness "terrace" oversee the sunrise and sea, it is so beautiful to experience, especially those early mornings. While I enjoyed the spa treatments offered, I have to say that some of the therapists, while technically very good, did not have that fingertip feeling a really good masseuse has, when they know exactly how to vary pressure and how to ease a knot. Another small minus was the booking process, which for me not only had too many steps and back and forths but the reception repeatedly confused its calculations of the total, paid and remaining installment over email, so I had to clear it upon arrival."

"I've been to Samahita several times, the quality of the yoga taught here is the best I've come across and the whole place has a level of integrity & family feel that makes it somewhere I keep going back to! They've now also added a fitness element which is brilliant as the yoga can then just be about yoga rather than having a workout, and the core classes really focus on the strength you need to improve your yoga and/or help you deal with any injuries. The cycle classes are great fun - and would highly recommend. The fitness option would also be good for any partners that aren't so keen on the yoga. Samahita is right on the beach so in between all the classes you can just laze in the sunshine which is perfect. Would highly recommend a stay here."

"Few people I have met embody the joy and commitment of yoga as fully and gracefully as Tracy. Consistent in her intent, joyful in her embrace of the work, committed in her searching for greater depth, Tracy is always on the journey herself, which, for me, always means greater truth in working with others. It is the total enthusiasm with which Tracy embodies the concepts of healing and yoga that most inspire me."

"From the moment I took my first class with Summer, I could see she was truly gifted. I have taken yoga classes in seven countries from dozens of teachers. I have never experienced a yoga instructor with Summer’s razor-sharp focus, clarity, and mindful presence. She has an intuitive grasp of her clients’ ability to hold a pose or need for a modification. Her firm yet gentle guidance and amazing breath inspired me to deepen my practice and take yoga off the mat into my daily life."

"Summer is an incredible human being who brings passion and warmth to every class, whilst also helping you to realize your full potential on the mat. I met Summer while completing my teacher training course in Samahita Retreat in Koh Samui. She was always on hand to offer helpful advice and guidance. Her smile and personality is infectious, bringing fun and laughter to almost every experience. Summer is an incredible yoga teacher, in my opinion, as she has the capability to create an atmosphere which brings the best out of each student in her class."

"I had been practicing Ashtanga for a year before I took my first workshop, which was with John Bultman. It was my first glimpse into the depths and wonder that can be found in an Ashtanga practice. Since then, I have studied with Sharath in Mysore and Richard Freeman in Boulder, and I still jump at the opportunity to study with John whenever I can. He combines a deep understanding of Ashtanga yoga with a nurturing and humorous way of being that inspires me to continue to dive deeper into the practice. You really need to check it out. He’s awesome!"

"John Bultman’s workshop was wonderful, it was pushing all of us to our limits. After class, what remained of the skimmed off energy, turned to bliss and gratitude. We all felt and meant every word of the closing chant! One sweet manifestation of Parampara from the heart, is that John says “very good,” in the same tone as Sharath. It arises from the same soothing energy of loving kindness. John is a wonderful teacher who understands, practices, and teaches all eight limbs of Ashtanga. In his asana classes, I have always been treated with the expectation that I can do anything. I have internalized that positivity in my practice and in life, with much gratitude to John and our lineage. "

"I have been doing calisthenics and bodyweight exercises for the last three years, but I struggled with technique. Within three sessions, I had progressed from one "bar muscle up" per session to 50 in total, thanks to some key points and excellent demonstrations from an instructor who never requires anything during training that he does not expect from himself. Great sessions, thank you."

"So Samahita has widened its scope to add spin classes and core classes. This can be added to the already established yoga choices of Mysore and Led classes or for those who aren't yoga inclined, can just add a bit of fitness to your holiday. They also have paddle boards you can take out which are particularly fun in the winter months when the water at the beach is nice and high. The food has changed a bit which is a bit of a shame for me as there is always a fish dish at the buffet. The smell of this cooking can be a bit much when you are doing your yoga practice in the morning. Might be a good idea to add this to the brunch buffet a bit later so the cooking can be delayed. I am sure no one would miss fish curry for breakfast. This aside, the yoga courses they offer here are exceptional, the rooms are well looked after with excellent beds and the atmosphere amongst the trees by the beach is, as always, exceptional. The wonderful part about Samahita is although your holiday may end, your experience won't because you know you will be back? "

"I had been to Samahita in 2009 with a friend, and it was still relatively new (it had moved sites) so the garden was still in its infancy. The Ashtanga retreat was amazing, so I returned on my own. It is one of the best places I know to immerse yourself in yoga for a week. I just cannot speak highly enough of the place! Truly, truly, the most amazing place ever! I am already planning my return. Just Do It, you wont regret it."

"Samahita Retreat is in a beautiful location on a quiet beach, with very comfortable rooms and delicious food - it is a perfect setting to dive further into your yoga practice! I have just returned from my 5th trip to Samahita Retreat - 6 weeks of continuing education courses on anatomy, pranayama and philosophy. The quality of the teaching as always was excellent, and is the main reason I keep coming back again and again. On top of that, it is an ideal place to meet like-minded people from around the world, people to share your journey of life and yoga with. A very special place with very special people! Highly recommended!!"

"Manuel makes you aware of how much further your body and mind can go by teaching how to do it without having to push yourself to the limit. He honors the limitation of every student and just lets one enjoys the benefits of the pose, stress free. Thanks for constantly reminding us to breathe, and stating the first and basic steps that need to be done in preparation to get out of the pose, such as inhaling, curling your toes in, putting down the arm firsts, and looking up. I think many teachers forget this because they are so advanced that it has become second-nature to them but to the beginning student it is so important! Gracias Manuel, mucha suerte en todo!"

"I spent a month at Samahita for a teacher training course, and had one of the most beautiful and transformative months of my life - I'm already dreaming of when I can go back. For me, it was all about the quality of the teaching, and Paul and his team are extraordinary at sharing their knowledge and taking students through a process of learning about asana, pranayama, adjusting, anatomy, philosophy, and chanting (note that this was part of the teacher training and not all of this is available year round I think). The center has been lovingly designed to support practice and peace, with a wonderful energy which facilitated a month of intensive study and change. The food was delicious, healthy, and really well balanced, and there are lots of wellbeing services to choose from. I have never felt or looked so healthy. The only drawback is the cost - it is very expensive (for shoestring yogis like me), but at least they make sure that you have a truly special and life-changing experience for the money."

"The Samahita retreat experience is thoroughly restorative and on the first day I began to relax and appreciate the calm lifestyle. There is plenty of light and delicious food with a buffet available for relaxed eating and socializing. Yoga asana, breathing and meditation sessions help construct the day and the whole experience is amazing. The only shock is re-entering everyday life but at least this is done from a peaceful place with many new ideas about how to keep life stress free."
