Samadi Bali has four double bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Two of the rooms can be extended to family rooms with extra beds. The accommodation features common kitchenette, all round Wi-Fi, salt water swimming pool with attached Jacuzzi, sauna, lounge area, and two yoga practice rooms.

Connect with what's alive in you, find the still-point at your center and stretch your mind. Yoga practice is about learning how to dance with the universe. To say your body is too tight to do yoga is the same thing as saying you are too dirty to take a bath.

Samadi Bali offers other yoga styles to suit a variety of levels and mindsets. Powerful holistic medicine, yoga descends from India and inspires people to stretch their minds by learning how to breathe, relax, and center through tight corners and uncomfortable situations.

A yoga class will leave you feeling energized and lighthearted; a weekly session will begin to work away chronic discomforts, such as low-back or neck pain, and a daily practice will transform your life and stretch you to embody the biggest version of who you want to be.

Ashtanga Mysore

Ashtanga yoga is really a breathing exercise in which you use the body to expand the mind. Ashtanga looks like physical exercise from the outside, but is really a spiritual experience on the inside. The Ashtanga method is based on the weaving of body-movements with breath-movements into a deepening flow of yoga poses.

A dynamic practice, Ashtanga yoga will stretch every corner of your body, invite you to strengthen your weak areas and inspire you to live with grace. Akin to a cooking process, the heat generated, the struggle endured and the peace cultivated combine together to reveal the flavor of your being.

Named after the birthplace of the Ashtanga system, Mysore in south India, this is the traditional method for learning, deepening, and perfecting your Ashtanga practice. A private class in a group setting means the teacher doesn't lead the whole group but holds the space for the practitioners, beginners, and advanced together, to learn and refine their own practice.

As a beginner, you will be taught one pose at a time in order to integrate the information, gradually learn the sequence and develop your personalized yoga practice. You are invited to repeat over and over until a sense of flow and poise is attained. Eventually, the teaching becomes more subtle, allowing the practice itself to be the real teacher. First timers and beginners are welcomed.


Double-up Vinyasa is a unique class and experience! Together, the teachers guide the students throughout the class, five to ten minutes each and then they change. This creates a playful and interesting atmosphere weaving the aspect of yin and yang into the class. By having two teachers, they can pay extra careful attention to the students and give lots of hands-on adjustments. There will be inspiring music and themes. The class is open to all levels.

Guided Ashtanga

Guided Ashtanga or the Ashtanga method explored trough themes and principles. All levels are welcome.

Hatha yoga

Hatha yoga is an integrated movement of body and breath to make calmness of mind. A softer approach to explore your inner landscape through yoga poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditations. Ha-tha means the joining of two complementary energies: Soft, receptive, expanding, creative, feminine energy and grounded, focused, contracting, contemplative masculine principle. It is great for beginners.

Led Ashtanga

A way to get first acquainted with the Ashtanga sequence, the teacher directs the class and takes the time to explore the fundamentals of the method. Level 1 is for beginners and level 2 is for more intermediate students.


Vinyasa is a dynamic yoga class flowing from pose to pose by synchronizing body movements with breath movements. Explore new yoga poses into a gradual progression from easier to more advanced options. Get ready to move, breathe, sweat, and challenge yourself! The session is open to all levels.


Yin yoga is a slow-down approach to melt connective tissues and cultivate a meditative mind. All levels are welcome.

Yoga dance

Yoga dance combine yoga and dance to find your groove and free your feet. A levels are welcome.

Yoga for surfing

Whether you are beginner or advanced surfer, this fun class will help you open your shoulders, strengthen your core, and improve your balance. All levels are welcome.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra or the yogis sleep will guide you through deep stages of relaxation and awareness. All levels are welcome.


Experience tells people that a lot of common diseases and discomforts can be healed through natural medicines. Samadi Bali specializes in hands-on treatments to assist you in your healing process. They offer therapeutic bodywork, craniosacral therapy, and postural training. They also have at your disposal a sauna and a floating-tank to make your treatments even more potent and effective.

Practice advice

Practice with an empty stomach. Don't drink water during or just after practicing. If you have a specific condition, please inform Samadi Bali about it, but check with your doctor for any adverse side effects.

Come bathed and wear clean, light clothing suitable for indoor physical activity. Bring a towel with you if you sweat a lot. Avoid wearing jewelry and watches. Please avoid wearing perfume, creams, or oils.

Don't be afraid to sweat profusely. It is part of the cleansing and purifying process. The tradition even recommends rubbing the sweat back into your skin after practice rather than wiping it off.

Don't be afraid to feel tired and experience difficulties. Direct your attention on the breathing and don't aim for external perfection as you do the asanas (postures). Observe the movements of the mind without implication or judgment. Ask yourself how it feels and smile often.

Yoga practice is very similar to gardening. To grow well the human plant requires daily love and attention. Changes are so slow and subtle they are barely noticeable. A strong foundation in the internal principles (breathing, bandhas, and drishtis) are the roots that give strength and grace to the practice. Finally, when all the preparatory work is done, the gardener sits back and watches the plant grows on its own.

Treat your body as you would a friend, with respect and care. Do not push or force your body into any pain, it's okay to feel discomfort, but don't use yoga as an instrument of self torture. The breath is your safety net. If you cannot breathe freely, find or ask for a more suitable variation. Put on your adventurer cap, open your minds eye, and explore your inner landscape. Listen for the silence behind the experience.

Damien de Bastier
Damien de Bastier has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 25 years. It was love at first stretch when he was introduced to the Ashtanga practice in 1998, as it combines his inclination for sports, meditation, and self-inquiry. As an Authorized Ashtanga teacher, his intention is to preserve the gifts of the Ashtanga method as they have been transmitted to him by his teachers.

Samadi Bali is a kitchen lab for healthy foods and happy bellies. They experiment by mixing sunny world-cuisine with gourmet, uncooked, and homegrown ingredients to create a gourmetarian experience. The results are often surprising and delicious. Enjoy a young coconut after yoga or join us for family-style brunch.

As children of the earth, Samadi Bali believes in the power of natural food to heal your system and power your activities. They only use seasonal ingredients produced by local farmers and partners. They support fair-trade exchanges and practices because they know food nourishes more than just the flesh. They cannot guarantee all of the ingredients to be 100% organic, but strive to make it the majority of all their creations.

Their kitchen alchemists, Dewi and her helpers, artfully combine ingredients into gourmetarian creations that will surprise your mind and take your taste buds on an adventure. They offer a selection of raw-based dishes, as well as cooked food and healthy juices. The kitchen lab is open for breakfast and lunch from 08:00 to 15:00.
