Refresh your mind and renew your body during this wellness retreat in Thailand. Join yoga instructor Danita Medina to enjoy magical days full of meditation, yoga, and wonderful adventures. Let yourself be seduced by the white sand beaches at Koh Lanta, its delicious fresh fruits, and seafood. Experience a diverse scale of activities in a relaxed atmosphere that will make this trip an exquisite journey.
During this retreat, you will stay either in a private or a shared room. During your stay in Bangkok, you will stay in a confortable boutique hotel at the center of Bangkok with easy access to major attractions and during your stay in Koh Lanta, you will enjoy tropical ambiance accommodations with heartfelt service and natural warmth.
During this retreat, upon arrival at Bangkok, you will enjoy your first night in Thailand. The next morning, you will catch a flight to Krabi and then enjoy a two-hour trip in a private van to Koh Lanta, where you will stay the next eight days.
In Koh Lanta you will enjoy a delicious welcome dinner. During your stay, you will enjoy a daily Dynamic yoga session in the morning and a Restorative yoga class during the evenings, daily meditation practices on a private beach, two 60-minute sessions of Thai yoga massage, a wonderful snorkeling day trip, and a visit to Lanta National Park.
After spending seven nights in the wonderful Koh Lanta, you will take a flight to spend the last three nights in Bangkok, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy some leisure time to see the rich culture and native lifestyle through the native's eyes. On your last night in Bangkok, you will have a delicious farewell dinner before saying goodbye to Thailand the morning after.
One visit to Lanta National Park and a snorkeling day trip in Koh Lanta are included in this retreat.
Danita Medina is a Florida board licensed massage therapist. She has been serving the central Florida area since 2007. She is a Florida Academy of Health and Beauty graduate. She specializes in working with clients with chronic pain through deep tissue and Thai massage. Danita is a certified yoga instructor, her teaching style plays with the freedom that can be found through breath, flow, and motion.
This retreat will take place at two different places in Thailand. You will spend the first night in Bangkok, the next seven nights in Koh Lanta, and the last three knights back in Bangkok. Thailand, formerly known as Siam, is a country at the centre of the Indochinese peninsula in Southeast Asia. Thailand is the 20th-most-populous country in the world, with around 68 million people.
Thailand is a constitutional monarchy and was a parliamentary democracy until the coup in May 2014 by National Council for Peace and Order. Its capital and most populous city is Bangkok. It is bordered to the north byMyanmar and Laos, to the east by Laos and Cambodia, to the south by the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia, and to the west by the Andaman Sea and the southern extremity of Myanmar. Its maritime boundaries include Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast and Indonesia and India on the Andaman Sea to the southwest.
During this retreat, you will be served one daily delicious and healthy locally sourced breakfast. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy one welcome and one farewell dinner. You can also try Thai cuisine based on fresh seafood, and find all kind of other foods such as vegan and vegetarian dishes.
The most well known activity in Koh Lanta is diving. Koh Lanta is a paradise for divers and Lanta’s local spots Koh Haa and Koh Rok offer spectacular snorkeling and diving through caverns, coral walls, chambers,and underwater pinnacles. You may spot along your dive some turtles, octopus, and barracuda fish.
You can just rent a bicycle in the old town and ride along the scenic roads. Ride up and down the hills heading towards the Koh Lanta National ParkYou and then enjoy a nice walk in the jungle.
This fishermen village kept his authenticity for hundred years and locals still live in charming wooden houses. The town is just the size of a street, but you’ll find there a local market every Sunday, fresh fishes, and seafood in the restaurants. There is also a Chinese temple and a little museum. The place is ideal to buy some gifts and souvenirs.
Experience some of the Thai culture by trying their national sport, the Muay Thai, commonly known as Thai boxing. A gym has been opened in the center of the island by a well known Thai champion and his classes are well conducted.
Stand up paddle board at the beautiful beach of Khlong Dao. The best time do it is in late afternoon as you will get to watch a stunning sunset from the top of your board. You can also enjoy an elephant trekking in the jungle since the island’s landscape is big and diverse with lush tropical rainforests.
