Program outline
Ayurveda is recognized as one of the most important healing systems of mind-body medicine. Ayurveda forms the necessities and foundation for a healthy, natural, and balanced way of living. Ayurveda promotes longevity and prevents illness, allowing one to develop their highest potential.
Ayurvedic food preparation and cooking
A variety of cooking techniques and meal preparations will be learned and integrated. Participants will learn how to adapt specific foods toward the specific needs of each individual according to their dosha or constitution.
Energy management, meditation, and yoga Nidra
Visualizations, concentration, and meditation techniques will be explored to release sanskaras (negative thoughts, emotions, and pictures) and create a balanced state of Sattvic energy. Students will learn how to turn their attention inward, explore, and heal both their gross and subtle bodies.
Foundational of ayurvedic principles
The program includes the five element theory, the tri dosha theory, the seven dhatus, agni, ama, and ojas. Each participant will also explore their own constitution and will learn to integrate these principles in an experiential way.
Foundation of ayurvedic nutrition
Ayurvedic diet and nutritional concepts will be explored in this course for the purposes of health and well-being. The use of specific diet and herbs will also be explored to support the healing process.

- Ayurvedic breakfast
- Ayurveda lecture, discussion, and demonstration
- Morning yoga Nidra practice
- Ayurvedic lunch and food preparation
- Free time for relaxing, exploring the island and local market, or enjoying adventures
- Ayurvedic dinner and food preparation
- Evening Yin yoga practice
Program begins on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and finishes on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
