Marcel is one of the most popular guides in Bali. His stoke is infectious for surfers of all levels. Whether pushing beginners in to rollers on foamies or charging deep barrels at the premier breaks, Marcel loves to share the experience of surfing with his clients. Born and raised amongst the epic waves of Lagundri Bay, Nias, Marcel has brought his love of life and surfing to Bali where he has been working with The Perfect Wave and S Resorts for the last 4 years.

Retreat location

The central location on the beautiful Bukit gives you easy access to the area’s world-class surf breaks and beautiful beaches. Some of the best waves in the world are on S-Resorts Hidden Valley's doorstep, with surf spots that offer something for everyone; from beginners, intermediates, or experts. A huge variety of waves is on offer, from reef breaks to beach sand breaks; there is no off-season with consistent surf that is accessible all year round.

The local breaks: Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Impossibles and Dreamland, Pandawa, Nusa Dua, and a few secret spots - provide something for all surfers. You will be in arguably the world's best surfing destination. The beaches in the area are also excellent for sunbathing, swimming, or just relaxing under an umbrella with a coconut to take in the beautiful scenery.
