Accommodation is provided in beautifully furnished 5-metre bell tents. Nestled amongst the lemon and orange groves, the bell tents are simple but sumptuous, with electricity and comfortable beds. Each tent can sleep up to three people. Crisp bed linen and pool towels are provided. There are solar hot and cold powered showers facilities. Internet access is available. There is a small shop on site for all those little essentials you might need.

Program

Your Rustic Retreats journey

During our morning sessions, apart from playful physical yoga practice, we will devote a few minutes to silent meditation. In the evenings, we will do Kundalini Yoga always closing with beautiful mantras. Every day we will practice different OSHO active meditations for entering the state of profound presence through allowing your body be guided by its instincts with very special music. OSHO, an Indian spiritual guru, believed that Western people need help with meditation. He developed active meditations that are all joyful and serve the purpose of rapid transformation into awareness.

The workshops will guide us through looking at emotions, how to care for ourselves, creativity, movement through dance. You will learn about the techniques of becoming more present and connected with yourself and others. Each workshop will serve to inspire you towards a change you desire for yourself, like change in your lifestyle habits, seeing new steps to take on your life path or learning about other approaches in your communication with others.

Times will vary slightly on each retreat. There is one workshop a day, it may be in the morning or afternoon. There is also the option to visit local markets on Wednesday and Sunday.

Style of yoga to be taught

For this retreat, Dina has blended Kundalini Yoga, Flow (Power) Yoga and Active Meditations with some techniques that have been her friends on her journey towards healing, a healthier lifestyle and state of higher awareness. Dina invites you to open up your body and energize yourself during morning yoga sessions, and enjoy our Active Meditation and a Kundalini classes in the evenings.

Flow (Power) Yoga wakes up the body, energizes and provides grounding, it is at times physical and intense. Kundalini Yoga is an experience of active movement with focus on powerful breathing practices, connection with the group and the music.

Flow (Power) Yoga is an active style, stemming from Ashtanga Yoga. It invites students to practice at their own level with various modifications. We will play with asanas creating a wide variety of sets of postures depending on the preferences and needs of the students. A class usually includes a warm up with Sun Salutations and a set of asanas. Dina usually likes to include a few challenging postures to keep the practice “warm”, like the core strengthening asanas or hip opening postures. We always finish with relaxation and close the practice with meditation or pranayama.

Kundalini Yoga is like no other yoga style and as a beginner you might feel surprised by the mantras we sing or the way we move. Kundalini Yoga has a wide range of already set kriyas (sets of asanas (poses)) that serve for different purposes. It can be a series to exercise the spine or to harmonize the work of the glandular system or to release toxins. A class usually includes a meditation with beautiful music. You will definitely be carried away with joy by the energy of the group, beautiful sound and inner focus.

During these days Dina would like you to allow her help you have a great time, open up, do something you haven´t done before and simply feel what a wise, creative and beautiful being you are. Workshop 1 - Caring for ourselves

We will start it off with a conscious walk using a mantra – a wonderful tool to take away followed by recipes for well-being from Kundalini Yoga and Ayurveda tradition. This workshop will provide ideas about simple tools to help us to feel fabulous in our body. You’ll hear about yogic diet and a special green diet, Ishnaan (water therapy), use of oils and aromatherapy for radiant skin and positive state of mind.

Workshop 2 - Conscious Communication

In Kundalini Yoga teachings they say: “We create our world and we manifest our spirit through communication. We can destroy ourselves or someone we love with incorrect communication.“ You’ll hear about this from a talk by Kundalini Yoga master Yogi Bhajan and Dina will explain more about it based on the wisdom of Kundalini Yoga. We will directly walk the talk and practice a silent communication in the group to demonstrate the power of connecting with another person by just being with them.

Workshop 3 - Diving into your creativity through an instinctive art

This is an opportunity to free up your instincts, receive answers and enjoy being present, using your body to create your own piece of art. At the beginning of this session we will dance to open up and come into the flow of being very centered. After that the true magic begins: you will draw with your eyes closed to receive guidance of the Universe towards new beautiful opportunities in your life.

Workshop 4 - Biodanza for connecting with creativity and playfulness

A guided dancing session to allow that desire for fun, play and joy be released and nurtured. This will be the time to have a great time with the group and at the same time to follow your instincts to recognize them and release your potential in your daily life.

Workshop 5 - Introduction to Radical Forgiveness Technique. Confronting and transforming emotions

Here is where we will talk about how to work consciously with your emotions to uncover your patterns and how you can work with negative habits. You will be introduced to radical forgiveness, a method designed by Colin Tipping. This method can turn around your vision of what happens to you in life! It’s about taking responsibility for your life, and getting out of victim hood. I will provide you with the reading will explain how to use this method for difficult situations in your life.

Food

Stimulate all your senses whilst you absorb the bright colors, beautiful textures, tantalizing flavors, and sublime aromas of the fresh food served at Rustic Retreats. The chef will create a myriad of fresh, healthy vegetarian meals to tantalize your pallet, all using the ripest, freshest, seasonal ingredients that are locally produced either from their very own organic garden and vegetable patch or from the local market and farmers.

Varieties of fruit are growing freely on the site such as lemons, oranges, almonds, pomegranate, and carob to name but a few. All vegetarian meals are lovingly prepared by a trained chef in the outdoor kitchen and are served 'al fresco' whenever possible. All meals are included in the price. The meals have been so popular with the clients that they are looking at producing a recipe book for next season.

  • Start the day with a fruit smoothie or refreshing mint tea.
  • Breakfast baby spinach omelet, cereals, fruit and French toast.
  • Lunch bell pepper frittata, bean and yogurt salad, and pumpkin bread.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Fly into to Alicante, then it's a 2-hour train journey (6 EUR) through the beautiful Spanish countryside down to Totana station where Rustic Retreats will collect you.

Alternatively, fly into Corvera Airport Murcia (RMU). There is a bus transfer (costs 6 EUR), and it takes 25 minutes to Murcia train station. You can also get a taxi or hire a car (40 minutes by car to Totana). Train to Totana takes 40 minutes and costs approximately 3.75 EUR.

Arrival by train

  • Arrive at Totana station where Rustic Retreats will collect you.

Arrival by taxi

  • You can get a taxi from the airport which would cost 170 EUR and upwards. Also, there are car hire options at the airport.
