During this holiday, you will stay at Rukhsana's Wellness & Heavenly Retreat's retreat house. This is a little piece of heaven that provides a perfect getaway under the sun. You can choose to stay either in a single or shared accommodation. They have 6 beautiful rooms to choose from! The Sunset, Sunrise, Ocean View,and Garden and Humming Bird room. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious so you will have the perfect week spoiling your true self.

During this week-long retreat, you will learn the basics of meditation and yoga, focusing on healing the self. Meditation has been proven to significantly better one’s self through the body and mind whereas, yoga is the union between the mind, body, and soul; incorporating all three bodies to strengthen the core.

Every day you will learn something new that you can take into your day to day life to help better yourself. Each day we practice different forms of meditation, such as mantra meditation, yoga Nidra, laughter yoga, art meditation and walking meditation.

They will also give you a chance to try different forms of yoga as well, from different instructors, such as Yin yoga, Restorative yoga, and Vinyasa yoga and they also have guest speakers who will assist to speak about different fields of knowledge (Ayurveda, self-love, healthy spine or Jyotish). With each retreat we bring in different speakers, no retreat is the exact same. They organize a retreat that seems best for the participants. During your free time, you are more than welcome to enjoy the gardens and embrace nature, take a dip in the saltwater pool or go for a short hike on the paths right outside the gate.

The schedule that they follow is similar to that of an Ashram center ans they encourage everyone to participate in all the meditation and yoga sessions but understand that listening to your body is very important. They do not push the guests if they feel they are unable to participate, everyone is welcome to go at their own pace!

On the last day, they offer either a free day or a trip into San Jose del Cabo. A more detailed schedule will be given upon arrival. Please know the schedule is subject to change based on instructors and guest speakers.

Beginners and intermediates are welcome to this retreat. This retreat will not only give you the opportunity to learn different forms of meditation and yoga techniques but also give you the time to empower yourself. You will begin the day in the deep peace of morning meditation, and find inspiration in the mantra chanting and a spiritual reading.

Then, you will have some herbal tea blend made with the finest Ayurveda tea for all constitutions. After the session, enjoy the delicious meal with friendly guests from around the world. Afterward, there will be plenty of free time for you to enjoy other activities. Maybe you'd like to help out a little in the retreat house, or perhaps talk with one of the senior yoga instructors.

After that, the second yoga class begins. You will feel your body becoming more flexible, your breath calmer, and your mind clearer. In the evening, the nutritious dinner awaits you. You may like to drink some herbal tea before bedtime, take a short walk around the retreat house hilltop and then retire early to bed.

Instructors

Rukhsana Khan
Rukhsana Khan is a certified Ayurvedic body therapist by the California College of Ayurveda to perform the ancient techniques of Ayurvedic body treatments. She is a graduate of the primordial sound meditation from the Chopra Center for well-being (Deepak Chopra) and a Sivananda yoga instructor for Hatha yoga. She is also a certified aesthetician and spa director.

Retreat location

This retreat will take place Rukhsana's Wellness & Heavenly Retreat's retreat house set right in the middle of San Jose del Cabo and Los Cabos Mexico off the main highway. They are located on top of a hill between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas under the gorgeous Mexican sun on two acres of land which provides privacy and security for all guests. The property is surrounded by beautiful, lush gardens and fountains with private seating areas throughout. It is the perfect place to get away, unplug and reconnect with your true self.

Food

On this retreat, you will be served daily vegetarian brunch and dinner. You will also drink some herbal tea in the morning and before bedtime. Between Rukhsana and Arshad they have over 100 years of culinary experience combined. Rukhsana has helped in her family's kitchen since the age of three and Arshad has run and maintained a successful catering company for the past 30 years.

Every morning They offer a super-food smoothie, which is packed with vitamins and minerals from nutritious, organic sources. It is the perfect way to jump-start your day after morning meditation.

They then offer a hearty vegetarian brunch that will leave your taste buds and stomach full and satisfied. Healthy snacks are provided throughout the day and in the evening, they will serve you another delicious vegetarian meal. Throughout the day and evening, snacks will be accessible to all guests. They also accommodate the best we can to all participant's allergies.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). Please let Rukhsana's Wellness & Heavenly Retreat know your flight information 24 hours before arrival so they can pick you up from the airport. They will be outside waiting with a yellow fla. If you are not flying in on the day of the retreat or if you are coming from town, please arrive at the center between 12 pm. and 4 pm.
