Join the offering of Robust Vitality's yoga and plant medicine detox retreat. This retreat is set in the beautiful Sacred Valley, amidst the majestic Andes Mountains of Peru. In this pristine environment which is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, you will go through a deeply regenerative and empowering week of a cleansing body, mind, and spirit.
The maximum participants in the group is 9.
During the retreat, you will be staying at The Source Peru. The majority of the rooms are shared accommodations. Each guest will be assigned their own incredibly comfy shared double room which means you will most likely have a roommate. If you are traveling with a partner, please let the Robust Vitality know in advanced so the room can be arranged.
The beds in each room are luxuriously outfitted with two pillows, high thread count sheets, a thick duvet, and extra warm alpaca wool blankets. It does get chilly at night so please feel free to request additional blankets. Though you are allocated space in one of the guest rooms, you are always welcome to stay and sleep in the ceremonial space when each ceremony ends. A laundry service and complimentary Wi-Fi access are available.
The main lodge accommodations share two large, beautifully appointed bathrooms equipped with flush toilets, sinks, and 24-hour hot water showers. The men’s bathroom is downstairs and the women’s is upstairs. It also has an extensive library and games area with a broad range of books, tarot cards, board games, and card games for use while on site.
Please feel free to borrow any books or games that call out to you while you’re staying, but kindly return them at the end of your visit for others to enjoy.
The detox program will include a highly nutritious dietary meals, juices, local herbal teas, elixirs, and healthy snacks. For yoga and movement practice, you will be given a series of informative and practical workshops exploring many themes including Ayurvedic cleansing practices, mineral salt, plant baths, herbal oils and medicines, plant diets, energizers, plant-based nutrition, chemical free body care, and meditation practices.
As a group, you will have the opportunity to partake in a traditional Andean sweat lodge ceremony, led by a family of local shamans who share their wisdom and laughter with great integrity. You will also be offered the option to partake in ancient traditional Ayahuasca and Huachuma ceremonies.
Holistic therapy practitioners are available during your stay. You can book bodywork or healing treatment sessions in addition to your retreat package. You will also be offering optional visits to local sacred Incan sights and natural hot springs. Itineraries for visiting the incredible archeological site of Machu Picchu can also be arranged for you at additional cost.
You will have the chance to visit Pisac, a small town famous for its artisan market and curiosity shops. It is a perfect spot to wander amongst the locals and find artisanal souvenirs, such as handmade clothing, shamanic stones, rugs, and chocolate. The Incan ruins sit above the town and show the ancient Andean farming technology, architecture, and living quarters. You will spend a four to six hours touring, shopping, and enjoying the scenery.
Julian encourages personal discovery of truth through the practices of yoga, conscious touch, shamanic meditation, mindful eating, and spirituality practices. Julian’s unique interdisciplinary approach is very powerful and accessible. He is an E-RYT 500 and a practitioner of craniosacral therapy, Vedic Thai yoga massage, and shamanic energy work.
Katy Cox, a certified member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists, combines her love of yoga and her culinary passions to offer a comprehensive approach to optimum wellness and vitality. Katy currently works internationally as a private chef, nutritional therapist, and yoga instructor. She specializes in Restorative yoga, Yin yoga, and relaxation techniques, as well as drawing from elements of Kundalini and tantric practices.
The retreat will take in a small town called Arin, located in the Sacred Valley of Peru. The retreat center is situated in between Pisac and Urubamba, under the base of a 100-feet waterfall, a river canyon, and two spectacular mountains.
The property is beautifully landscaped which is surrounded by fragrant eucalyptus groves with an abundance of fruit trees and water features on the grounds. When you drift off to sleep under the Milky Way and awake to the sounds of a waterfall, you will know you have come to a place where nature can heal both your body and mind.

During the retreat, you will be provided daily Peruvian plant-powered meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The detox program will include highly nutritious vegan diet meals, raw foods, detoxing cold-pressed juices, local herbal teas, elixirs, and healthy snacks. Combined synergistically, these foods and drinks will alkalize and detoxify the body in a gentle and natural way.
Most people come to the Sacred Valley with the ultimate goal of visiting Machu Picchu, one of the new seven wonders of the world. Built in the 15th century upon jagged peaks at 7,970 feet above sea level, it is the most visited tourist attraction in Peru and the iconic site of the Inca civilization. Truly, no trip to Peru is complete without a visit to Machu Picchu.

Please book your flight to arrive at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ). Transfer from and to this airport is included. On November 13, Robust Vitality will be waiting to meet you and other guests and will bring you directly to the retreat center. Robust Vitality suggests your arrival to be one or two days before the retreat start date. This is recommended to explore Cusco and acclimatize to the altitude.
