This rejuvenating retreat takes place at the enchanting Chapel on the Green in Glasbury, Mid Wales. Led by River Flow Yoga director Gray Nolan, this retreat offers dynamic yoga sessions, chanting, and sound meditations, focusing on movement, breath, and mindfulness. You’ll explore carefully chosen wild swimming spots in the beautiful local countryside, guided by their qualified open water swimming coaches. Highlights include morning, afternoon, and even a magical night swim under the moonlight, creating a truly memorable experience in nature.
Chapel on the Green, a beautifully restored 1866 Gothic chapel, sits at the heart of the village green in Glasbury, Mid-Wales. Originally a place of worship until 1998, it has been lovingly converted into unique, comfortable accommodation designed to help you relax and connect with nature. With five bedrooms—including a king ensuite, a king room, two twin rooms, and a triple room with a single bed and bunk bed—this space accommodates up to 11 guests with shared bathrooms.

Over the weekend, immerse yourself in the exhilarating ritual of wild swimming, guided by experienced open water instructors. From refreshing morning and afternoon swims to a magical night swim under the moonlight, each session is crafted for both beginners and seasoned swimmers, with techniques to help you acclimate using breath and mindfulness.
Beyond the water, enjoy time to unwind, whether with a restorative Thai yoga massage, a visit to Hay-on-Wye—the historic town of books—or simply relaxing with a good read. They’ll conclude with a walking meditation through the breathtaking Welsh landscape, bringing a peaceful close to the retreat.

In your free time, take an optional trip to Hay-on-Wye, the world’s first official “Town of Books.” Nestled on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, this charming town is a paradise for book lovers and explorers alike, filled with unique independent bookshops, antique stores, and cozy cafes. Wander through the winding streets, uncover literary treasures, and soak up the creative atmosphere that has made Hay an iconic destination for bibliophiles around the world.
Gray, the founder of River Flow Yoga, is a qualified teacher with British Wheel of Yoga and a practitioner in the field of the senses. Gray has been teaching yoga since 2006, his style is relaxed, accessible and warm with a focus on compassion and inclusivity. As well as a yoga teacher he is a massage therapist and a tactile sign language specialist, having worked with people who are Deafblind most of his adult life. The river, mountains and local landscape in Mid Wales have had a profound effect on his yoga and this is evident through his practices.

At River Flow Yoga, all meals are freshly prepared on-site by Matthew, their resident kitchen witch, who brings a love for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to each dish. They serve vibrant vegan and vegetarian food that’s full of flavor and visually delightful—a feast for the eyes and the soul. Their menu includes hearty curries, soups, nourishing breakfasts, and packed lunches for meditation walks in nature.
Guests are welcomed with homemade cakes, perfect for enjoying with a cuppa, and they offer abundant sharing platters that invite everyone to gather and break bread around our long tables. They’re happy to accommodate individual dietary needs, providing meals that are nourishing, wholesome, and crafted with care.
