Situated near the Holy Ganges, the institute is full of modern amenities. You get to live with the tranquil environment of the Ashram, but you enjoy all the comforts of the modern day. You can opt for individual or sharing basis in the all deluxe rooms. You get the facility of separate attached bathroom for personal hygiene. But we suggest you book a space in advance, as the Yogshala is brimming with students at all times. The Wi-Fi services allow you to be connected with your loved ones as and when you please.

Program

Ashtanga Vinyasa suitable for the quick learners

One of the contemporary forms of yoga, Ashtanga yoga, is best suited for the fast paced learners. Involving heavy exercises and forming the base of Power yoga, this form introduces you to the connection between muscles and the body. With an intensive session, you sweat it all out and feel rejuvenated. The true essence of an Indian visit is gained by practice of yoga and we offer just the optimum amount of exposure and information. The sessions usually start with the basic warm up which includes stretching etc. followed by surya namaskars (sun salutations), hard core asanas, meditation, and pranayama. This retreat would become your stepping stone into the yogic realms.

Hatha yoga suitable for all level of learners

A more poised, subtle, and relaxed form, Hatha yoga allows you to experience each and every muscle of your body. It allows you to gain consciousness about the working of the mind, body, and soul and how to help your awareness reach the epitome of realization. The classes take you through the theoretical teachings of yoga as well their practical implementation. The asanas are carried out slowly and subtly with greater emphasis on holding the postures. The class follows a set pattern for unanimous approach. Meditation and pranayama with chakra healing and color healing, each and every class is brimming with information and knowledge.

How to get there

Rishikesh is well connected to the mainland in many ways. If you are coming from Delhi or any other metropolitan city, you can drive to the Yogshala. One can also fly to the domestic airport Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun about 15 km away from Rishikesh and take a cab from there to the Rishikul Yogshala. Opting for trains is also a good option as many trains of Indian Railway network are connecting Rishikesh, Haridwar etc.
