Course Syllabus

Yoga Asanas

The course will gradually raise levels of students and bring them on one platform thereby getting deeper into the advance techniques of yoga asanas. These advance asanas are taught with ample of modifications needed by each body type along with proper alignment.

Asanas to be covered in this course will vary from intermediate to advance level.

Yoga Anatomy & Physiology

An advance yoga course calls for in-depth study and understanding of anatomical aspect of yoga asanas. The course will cover health benefits, contraindications, proper alignment techniques and various modification techniques to aid the yoga practice, with right understanding and knowledge as per different body types and fitness level.

Yoga Philosophy

Yog Dham takes you into deeper study of the traditional scripts of Hatha Yoga, the asana practice and how breathing –pranayama and bandhas - play an important role in your yoga journey.

Pranayama, Bandhas & Shatkarma

This being a level II 300 hour YTTC, a lot of time is devoted as per the syllabus to Pranayama and its practice. You will also practice Bandhas on a regular basis and explain the importance of these aspects in relation to ones’ yoga practice. Daily cleansing rituals will be a part of the course with advanced techniques coming more into play.

    Vikal Sajwan graduated from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in the Uttarakhand province of India, getting good marks in subjects like history, political science and sociology. He has been teaching meditation in Rishikesh for the last three years. Vikal also taught meditation in Delhi, India, and has a diploma in Hotel Management where he learned about yogic food, nutrition and a balanced diet. He has a six-month diploma in yogic science from Dev Sanskriti University in Uttarakhand and also an ​18-month ​​diploma in yoga naturopathy from Bhopal University, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Arrival by Airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Cab transfer to and from this airport is available. The transportation cost is a fixed fee of 70 USD one way.

You can also choose to fly to the closest domestic airport - Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (DED) from Delhi/Mumbai and then avail the school's cab service, for 40 USD to and from.

Arrival by Train

The closest important train station is Haridwar. You can book a train from Delhi to Haridwar which is roughly around 6 hours’ journey. From Haridwar you can hire a tuk-tuk and reach at the venue which should take approximately an hour, depending on the traffic.

Arrival by Bus

Bus journey/train costs you more or less the same. However, trains are much safer an option and comfortable too.

If at all, the bus option is what you wish to take, then from the airport head to the ISBT (Interstate bus terminus) In Delhi. Keeping safety in mind, it is advised to take a morning bus journey.
