    The premium casitas at Gateway Canyons Resort offers over 800 square feet of luxurious living space, set apart in tranquil seclusion on the resort grounds. Each casita houses a separate bedroom, three of which feature two fireplaces. The stargazer casitas come with a second tier, full-view den, and unobstructed views of the star-filled sky. They have outdoor showers, private decks with fire pits, and five fixture bathrooms with free standing tubs, making a casita retreat an ultimate indulgence.

      Jones was raised in West Texas by his grandmother, who provided the tough love that kept him motivated and determined to succeed. The first in his family to go to college, he became a star football player for the Longhorns at the University of Texas-Austin. Today, Jones is a CBS Sports Network Analyst and co-host of national sports talk radio show “Gio and Jones,” and these days, he stays humble, grounded, and strong with yoga. BJ’s success continued during his five years in the NFL, where he played for the Indianapolis Colts (1991) and the New Orleans Saints (1995-98).

    This retreat will take place at Gateway Canyons Colorado Sports and Spa in Colorado, USA. Each morning at Gateway Canyons Resort, your visit begins in golden light, as the sun illuminates the towering peaks of granite and sandstone in shades of amber and ochre. Across the canyon floor, sunrise moves silently in the valley, warming each cavern, mantle, and peak.

    For a taste of exceptional Colorado cuisine, Entrada Restaurant and Lounge, located in the state-of-the-art Palisade Event Center, serves delicious Colorado dishes and offers a discriminating wine selection to make your dining experience a culinary event. Besides the exceptional food, Entrada is known for dining al fresco.

    Bask in the warmth and glow of a canyon sunset at one of Colorado’s best restaurants while dining on perfectly prepared selections from the Entrada menu. If you are interested in a quick bite, try the Entrada Lounge where cocktails and appetizers are served in style.

    The Kiva Café offers specialty coffee drinks, continental breakfast, and grab-and-go items. It is a perfect stop on your way out to discover one of your many adventures.

    Paradox grille

    Enjoy exceptional Colorado dining in a casual and enjoyable atmosphere. For lunch, grab the Grilled Angus Burger with smoked onions, sharp cheddar, roasted corn salsa, and fries, or on the lighter side, the Colorado Cobb Salad or our famous bourbon and peach glazed pork ribs with broccoli slaw and peach salsa. After dinner, head upstairs where the Paradox Grille features an exciting gaming loft with a pool table, shuffleboard, and other games to keep you entertained well.

    Enjoy a private dining experience at any of the most scenic locations around the resort. A custom menu will be prepared by the executive chef while a dedicated staff member attends to your every need.

    Rent a luxury vehicle for an experience of a lifetime. Take a day trip to Telluride, CO or Moab, UT or simply enjoy the scenery near Gateway. Choose from vehicle brands like Bentley, Porsche, Mercedes, and Tesla among others.

    Hiking and climbing

    Whether heading out with a guide into the vast high-desert landscape or meandering along the resort grounds, you’ll find a Colorado hiking adventure to suit your interest and ability. While at Gateway, take a leisurely hike through desert ranch land, look for spectacular back views of the impressive Palisade, or get your heart pumping with a climb to the top for a spectacular view of the world. Expert-led Colorado hiking tours are offered as half and full-day journeys into the surrounding canyons and high desert Ponderosa Pine forests. Self-guided Colorado hiking experiences are charted on adventure maps for guests who prefer a solo trek in the wilderness and backcountry.

    Horseback riding

    Spanning more than 500 acres with a generous network of well-marked Colorado horseback riding trails that climb over 1,500 feet in elevation, the facility provides spectacular access to the area’s riches. Experienced guides will take you on an exploration of the base of the Uncompahgre Plateau, the surrounding picturesque desert, and red rock canyons. Both beginners and advanced riders are sure to enjoy the ride.

    Jeep tours

    Colorado jeep tours include the Calamity Camp/Niche Road, Sheep Creek, Land of the Dinosaurs, and Sinbad Valley. John Brown Canyon and Dolores Point Mesa, the most popular tours, provide outstanding views of the area. Watch the river bend across the state border into Utah and enjoy the panoramic views of Dolores River Canyon into Gateway, the towering La Sal Mountains, and even the distant Spanish Valley.

    Mountain biking

    Situated on the border of Colorado and Utah, Gateway Canyons has the best of both worlds when it comes to mountain biking. It has classic Colorado mountain bike trails that rise and dip over the mountains and more technical riding made famous in nearby Moab, Utah.

    The staff at Gateway Canyons will be happy to arrange a guided wine country tour of several Colorado wineries in the vicinity or help plan a custom do-it-yourself Colorado wine country tour through the rolling hills of Western Colorado.

    • As you exit the airport, take a left onto H Road.
    • At the roundabout, take the first right onto Horizon Drive.
    • At 0.7 miles merge onto I-70 East via the ramp on your left.
    • After about 5.2 miles, take Exit 37 Clifton and Delta.
    • Merge onto I-70 Business Loop West for 1.2 miles.
    • Turn left onto 32 Road.
    • Stay on 32 Road for 7.2 miles.
    • At the intersection, take a left onto Highway 50 and then a right onto Highway 141 South.
    • Follow Highway 141 South.
    • You’ll have a beautiful 44-mile drive through the canyons. Drive time is approximately one hour and 12 minutes.

    Driving direction from Denver International Airport (DEN)

    • Follow the signs for the airport exit onto Pena Boulevard.
    • Stay in the westbound lane on Pena Boulevard for approximately 12 miles.
    • Take the left ramp onto I-70 W and continue for 249 miles.
    • Take Exit 37 Clifton and Delta.
    • Merge onto I-70 Business Loop West for 1.2 miles.
    • Turn left onto 32 Road.
    • Stay on 32 Road for 7.2 miles.
    • At the intersection, take a left onto Highway 50 and then a right onto Highway 141 South.
    • Follow Highway 141 South.
    • You’ll have a beautiful 44-mile drive through the canyons. Drive time is approximately four hours and 45 minutes.

    Driving direction from From Salt Lake City

    • Travel south on I-15 for 49.5 miles.
    • Take Exit 258 onto US Highway 6 and travel East towards Price, Utah over Soldier Summit Pass for 212.3 miles.
    • US Highway 6 will become I-70.
    • Turn East on I-70 towards Grand Junction.
    • Take Exit 26 toward Grand Junction.
    • Take a Right at the Riverside Park Way on 25 Road for five miles.
    • Merge onto US Highway 50 E.
    • Continue on Highway 50 E for seven miles then take a right onto Highway 141 South.
    • Follow Highway 141 South.
    • You’ll have a beautiful 44-mile drive through the canyons. Drive time is approximately five hours and 10 minutes.

    Driving direction from Moab

    • Travel South on North Main Street Highway 191 for 23 miles.
    • In La Sal, turn left onto UT-46 which will cross into Colorado.
    • UT-46 becomes CO-90.
    • Follow for 83 miles until CO-90 ends at Highway 141.
    • Turn left onto Highway 141.
    • Continue north for 49 miles to the resort.
    • Drive time is approximately two hours and 15 minutes.

    Arrival by airplane

    Please book your flight to arrive at Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Retreats Unlimited will pick you up from the airport.
