Accommodation is arranged in the tranquil Satsanga Retreat. There are nine warmly furnished guest rooms offering private bathrooms with solar hot water, mosquito nets, and ceiling fans. Satsanga Retreat is known for being a home away from home, as it provides a relaxed and intimate community setting. The center features two beautiful yoga shalas with wood flooring, swimming pool, and tropical gardens.
The retreat will start with a Puja, a traditional opening ceremony held to cleanse and bless the space and group. Classes will reflect and honour the sacredness of your surroundings in India.
Faye teaches a soulful, dynamic Vinyasa flow combined with the alignment principles of Anusara yoga. You will practice a smoothly flowing sequence of asana connected by breath. You can expect a well held and strong practice in your morning class. Your afternoon classes will focus on alignment giving you an opportunity to explore asana in detail, as well as restorative work and meditation.
Faye’s classes are a tapestry of strength, grace, empowerment and clarity woven together with eclectic playlists to send powerful messages to the physical, subtle and spiritual layers of the self. She likes to take her group deep into their yoga journey on every level. She encourages journaling and taking some quiet time each day to reflect. Faye also provides a workbook with helpful questions and ideas to consider during your time in India.

The retreat will be held in a small group of 12 in order to get plenty of attention and care from your teacher. Modifications and progressions are given so that students of all levels will find these yoga classes rewarding, but previous experience of a flow class is recommended to enjoy being challenged by a dynamic style of yoga.
Faye has been teaching Vinyasa flow yoga and pilates since 2003. Prior to that, she was a personal trainer and fitness class teacher where she cultivated her strengths in anatomy and physiology. Faye feels blessed to have studied with Liz Lark, Judith Hanson Lasater, Shiva Rea, and Claire Missingham, and more recently Vancouver and Los Angeles teachers Suzanne Faith, Noah Maze’ Nico Luce, and Genieve Burley. Her classes reflect her passion for sequencing, music, and her love and interest of the subtle body. Her ultimate intention is to empower you to stand strong in your truth.
The retreat takes place in the village of Vithaldaswada, overlooking Morjim beach in North Goa, India. The tropical yoga retreat location is set in a large jungle garden just a couple of meters away from the gorgeous sandy beach of Morjim. With beautifully designed rooms that blend the elements of Goan Portuguese heritage with the aesthetics of Rajasthani royalty, the accommodation also features a rooftop yoga shala looking out onto palm trees and a large natural salt water swimming pool.

Two vegetarian meals (brunch and dinner) are served daily. They are made with the freshest ingredients purchased at the local markets. Locally grown and organic foods are used whenever possible. For brunch, you will enjoy a buffet with tropical fruits, muesli, yogurt, oatmeal, and freshly baked bread with butter and jams. Evening meals vary daily and include beautifully prepared traditional Indian and Ayurvedic dishes.
You can book Ayurvedic massages, beauty and spa treatments, or visit an Ayurvedic doctor for a full consultation at extra charges. Dr. Laxmi provides Ayurvedic consultation at additional cost as well. To help you relax further, you can book Ayurvedic, Swedish, and sports massage and spa treatments as well.
