Accommodation is arranged at the 17th century manor house, which has has luxuriously plush bedrooms in the main house and the converted stable yard. The bedrooms in the main house are larger with views out onto beautiful gardens. These rooms share bathrooms between two or three people. The bedrooms in the converted stable yard are set around a courtyard surrounded by gardens. Most of the rooms at the stable yard are ensuite.

Yogis of all levels are welcome to the retreat. A Jivamukti class trial is recommended before you attend the retreat, as it is a dynamic flow style of yoga. It will require you to commit to your classes. The retreat teacher, Emma Henry, is one of the top Jivamukti teachers and is very experienced at teaching mixed level groups, so you can be sure of feeling challenged and inspired to safely explore and deepen your yoga practice.

Each Jivamukti class offers a vigorous asana practice that is infused with inspiring teachings derived from the ancient yogic texts. A class presents classical yoga teachings as relevant to one’s life on and off the mat, supported by chanting, breath awareness, flowing Vinyasa sequences, alignment exploration, hands-on assistance, relaxation, and meditation. Modifications and progressions are given so that students of all levels find the yoga classes rewarding.

Digital detox

While technology can bring plenty of benefits to your daily lives it can mean that you are always on. Through the retreat, take time to switch off. With emails on your smart phones, multiple social media accounts, and the internet at your finger tips, it can be difficult to do so. Thus, there are digital detoxes to do just that. You are asked to switch off your devices for a powerful dose of time offline and healthy you time. The yoga retreat is a good place to take a proper break from technology. You can fill your break with yoga, good food, refreshing nature, and downtime.

Arrive at St. Pancras Railway Station, the closest station to the venue. It is less than an hour by train from London St. Pancras.

  • Emma Henry

    Emma was introduced to yoga in the mid 90s and has been teaching since 1998. Her background in dance and martial arts is evident in her dynamic, innovative and playful choreography, and understanding of anatomy and the subtle body. Her yogic path has led her to Mysore from practicing Ashtanga with Sri K Pattabhi Jois to advanced certification in the Jivamukti method. She is an advance certified Jivamukti teacher and facilitates the Jivamukti teacher trainings with Sharon Gannon and David Life. Her continuing education is shared with her students through her love of yogic texts and chanting.

Indulge in meals prepared by the chefs. They are delicious and healthy, made using fresh and local produce. The menus are designed to support your yoga weekend, so you can expect nourishing meals which are vegan, gluten, sugar-free, and low on dairy. Rob works at the intersection of many eastern and western disciplines, utilizing deep pressure and manipulation to sensitively and intuitively relieve pain, dissolve tension, and remove stiffness. Each session is a bespoke synergy of techniques and intention which work together to form a unique and contemporary massage based on Thai massage, osteopathy and Zen Shiatsu. Additionally, massage treatments can be booked at 80 GBP for 75 minutes.
