During this yoga retreat, you will be accommodated at a beautiful yurt venue in East Devon. The yurts are set in a peaceful 2-acre meadow with panoramic views over the River Otter and close to local beaches. The comfortably furnished yurts have wood burners, camp fires, and hammocks outside.
The weekend will start at 16:00 on Friday. After settling in, everyone will enjoy a Restorative yoga session before enjoying a delicious vegan dinner together. Over the weekend, there will be morning and late afternoon yoga and a chance to enjoy the surrounding area, walking in nature or visiting the nearby beaches, or chilling in a hammock. The weekend is a chance to rest the body, mind, and soul. Also, you will have a gong bath healing sound session in one of the community yurts. Everyone will leave on Monday around 10:00 after breakfast.

In the modern world, you rarely give ourselves permission to just stop, breath, and be still. You are constantly rushing around, often creating a lot of tension in the body and mind, and stimulating the nervous system. Over time, this can have an ill effect on both the body and the mind, so it is really important that you give yourself the self-compassion to slow down and relax.
Restorative yoga is a series of poses that include the use of props such as bolsters, blocks, straps, and blankets to help the student explore deep relaxation, stillness, and inner peace. In these supported poses, the body and mind are guided into relaxation to find stillness and calm with conscious breath. Each student is given the space and encouragement to let go of tension and stress in the mind, body, and breath so they are able to relax deeply, be present, and open their hearts.
Rebecca Miller's yoga journey began in 2002 when she was slowly recovering from a very bad fall whilst snowboarding in France. She started practicing yoga as a way of healing and strengthening her injured shoulder and she never looked back. She found yoga gave her not only balance and strength of the physical body but also balance and strength of the mind. She continued to practice yoga and in 2008. She traveled to India to study and practice the art of yoga in more depth.
