Retreat location

The Andes: The beautiful cities of Quito and Cuenca, both declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites, are located in this region. A trip along the Avenue of the Volcanoes shows you beautiful panoramic sights while the indigenous markets allow you to admire colorful landscapes between moorlands, mountains, and historic communities. The Andes is the longest continental mountain range in the world and are located at altitudes ranging from 1,500 meters above sea level (4,921 feet) to 6,310 meters above sea level (20,701 feet). The Chimborazo volcano is the closest point to the sun measured from the center of the earth, inviting you to touch the sky from the country known to be home to four amazing worlds.

The Ecuadorian Amazon: The Ecuadorian Amazon invites you to explore a world of limitless diversity, beginning with its natives, who are descendants of ancient indigenous peoples, and continuing via its abundant flora, wildlife, landscapes, and range of activities. It is also a mega-cultural destination since it is home to more than 13 indigenous peoples, each of whom has its own languages, worldviews, and traditions. This region is also regarded as the most mega-diverse on the earth per square kilometer since it is home to one of every ten species of flora and fauna that are known to exist in the world. There is a wide range of fruits, vegetables, animals, and herbs, and traditional food preparation methods.

Ecuador: Ecuador is a "Hidden Treasure" in South America. This relatively small country has 4 different regions with completely different attractions, cultures, landscapes, and an incredible amount of diverse flora and fauna. Ecuador has something for everyone! It has majestic volcanoes, beautiful mountainous landscapes, the fascinating Amazon Rainforest, the sun-filled Ruta del Sol on the Pacific Coast, and the magical Galapagos Islands! Even more incredible is how easy it is to travel between each of these regions. About 25% of the population is indigenous and continues their daily life practicing the same rich cultural traditions

as their ancestors did centuries ago. The currency used is the US dollar, making travel easy. The native language spoken is Spanish and the country's capital is Quito. Ecuador is an amazing destination because you can travel here any time of year thanks to its location on the equator and the great weather all year round.
