Awaken your senses and spirit with this yoga retreat at Rancho Delicioso eco village and organic farm. With the era of consumerism, the world faces many challenges from loss of habitat, to environmental degradation and social disconnection. Rancho Delicioso believes it is time to cultivate opportunities for positive change and learning. Permaculture - derived from the words permanent and culture - is a design science based on mimicking efficient patterns and relationships found in nature. Permaculture is yoga for the land, as yoga is permaculture for the body.
The "River Palace" is one of the most spectacular buildings in Costa Rica. Built over the intersection of three river valleys, you access it from one of the three bridges. Most of the beds inside are round, hanging "nest beds". Imagine a luxury Tarzan experience and you'll be halfway there.
Introduction to permaculture daily workshops:
Ever wonder what its like to dance in the air? This workshop teaches how to move with the silks using breathing techniques that prevent muscle exhaustion. This is a fun way to activate all muscle groups, while learning a few tricks to show your family and friends back home.
You dont have to be a ballerina doing split handstand to be able to practice yoga. Whether you are a beginner just wanting to stretch, or an advanced level yogi, Rancho Deliciosos daily classes will allow you to connect with your body.
The yoga decks at Rancho Deliciosos partner resort - Anamaya - are truly spectacular. With views over Montezuma and out to the ocean, it is a wonderful place to practice at the beginning or end of the day.
The truth is we can all cook like Nigella Lawson without using ingredients from the whole world. Learn to live sustainably by using local seasonal produce to create magic on your plate. Rancho Delicioso is a twenty-five-hectare (61 acres) property in the center of the Southern Nicoya Peninsula, which is the prettiest beach area of Costa Rica, and includes the beach towns of Montezuma and Santa Teresa. At the heart of Rancho Delicioso is an organic farm, part of which is owned by Anamaya Yoga Resort. Anamaya is investing in its own lots (1.25 acres) and is using other 2-3 acres for orchards and additional gardening. The idea is to grow the food for the yoga retreat guests, to provide local, fresh, and organic produce.
You will be served three meals each day that showcase healthy fresh cooking from the farm or local providers.
You will have an opportunity to chill with your newfound family beside a cozy bonfire. Enjoy Rancho Deliciosos salt-water swimming pool to cool off from the tropical heat. Stargazing included.
