You will be staying at the incredible, luxurious Cattle Shed in Grindleford. Rooms are all double occupancy with two separate beds.

  • All 11 en-suite rooms are on a twin share basis: all rooms have super king size zip and link beds (so these can be twin rooms or large double).
  • Open plan lounge with integrated bar and dining, and panoramic views.

  • 07:00 Meditate - join Jo for a morning love and gratitude meditation
  • 08:00 Breakfast - fuel up with an awesome breakfast
  • 09:00 Trail run - run 11 kilometers to Chatsworth House (optional)
  • 11:00 Wild Dip - wild dip in the river at Chatsworth (optional)
  • 12:00 Picnic - plant-based al fresco dining
  • 14:30 Pilates - create your core of iron
  • 16:00 Ready, steady, snack - Team up as we learn to create a range of healthy snacks (and then demolish them)
  • 18:00 Barbeque - enjoy a plant-based barbeque that won’t leave you searching for a sausage
  • 20:00 Night hike -strap on your head torch and explore the locale

  • 08:00 Fusion yoga - an energizing wake-up for the body and soul
  • 09:30 Breakfast - choose from an array of breakfast options
  • 10:30 Mindfulness workshop - join Jo in this participative workshop to explore an array of mindfulness techniques and how they can be applied to your everyday life.
  • 12:30 Lunch & challenge setting - this retreat is only the start, select one or more challenges and commit to their completion
  • 14:00 Ramble - get out in nature and walk through Padley Gorge
  • 18:00 Feast - plant-based healthy, yummy dinner
  • 20:00 Firepit - chill around the fire pit with kombucha and marshmallows

Monday, 12th of July, 2021

  • 07:00 Meditate - “be present” with Jo and set your intentions
  • 08:00 Chill yoga - stretch, move and chill with one of R1SE’s original classes
  • 09:30 Breakfast - choose from an array of breakfast options
  • 11:00 GoApe - for those who dare we will tackle the UK's highest high ropes course (optional)
  • 14:00 Home - implement your knowledge, design your future and become your best self

Converted from an old cattle shed and built to an exceptionally high standard, this rustic and contemporary luxury development provides a unique venue for larger groups to enjoy the beauty of the Peak District National Park.

Don’t be fooled about what you hear about a plant-based diet. The Awakened Ape Retreat leaves nothing to chance and everything to the culinary imagination.

You won’t find any limp lettuce or be foraging for your food (although this could be an option!) imagine mouth-watering crunchy thai peanut quinoa, warming spicy chilli, butternut pecan wheat berry salad, jerk pasta, orange ginger sweet potatoes to name just a few of the amazing dishes you will open your taste buds up to.

Let’s not forget the delish deserts from raspberry chocolate brownies, cinnamon buns to chocolate orange puddings. Yes, all plant based and all super healthy!

You will also be having a little fun with ready steady snack, where in small teams you will learn how to be prepare easy delicious plant-based snacks in next to no time.

Great for when you are on the go and want to make sure you have something tasty and healthy to hand! R1SE Yoga Ltd will also show you that eating a plant-based diet does not mean you have to miss out on a barbecue with flavour-packed burgers, sizzling skewers and lots of vibrant salads and veggies.
