During this four-day immersion event, you will experience the six hacks that you can steadily introduce into your life in order to gap-fill the limitations of the 2020s and fully experience and appreciate the incredible times within which you live. It is time to cash in your genetic winning lottery ticket and become your own awakened ape. Via Movement, Meditation, Nutrition, Sleep, Nature, and your Tribe to enjoy it with.
You will be staying at the incredible, luxurious Cattle Shed in Grindleford. Rooms are all double occupancy with two separate beds.

Not worrying about pensions, mortgages, promotions, exams, information overload, and a never-ending list of other things. Sounds like bliss. So you have two options, retreat to the woods and live like a caveman or identify the secrets to abundant health, natural ecstasy, and stress-free living and then bio-hack them into your everyday life all whilst thriving in the digital age of the 2020s.
Although the R1SE Yoga Team are very serious about supporting you to become the best version of you, they are not serious about themselves and hence in typical R1SE style, there will be a strong emphasis on fun and camaraderie throughout the retreat.
So, what are the bio hacks that they will be starting to influence? Movement, meditation, nutrition, sleep, nature, and your tribe to enjoy it with.

As a secondary teacher of Physical Education in her previous life and an active bean right from the off, she gets why it's so important to develop an affinity with movement. Her goal is to enable people to recognise their own strength, both mental and physical - we are all different and have different needs which is why our R1SE style of yoga allows individuals to tap into what they need when they need it. She strives to create a fun, supportive environment for the students to become their best selves, wanting them leaving the studio on a cloud of happiness and yearning to return!
Jo is lucky enough to absolutely love what she does and has had great success in helping clients learn to deal with lifelong anxiety, sleep issues, change, emotions, stress, finding true happiness, improving their business, dealing with pain, having a positive mindset and so much more. If you want to create lasting positive habits, be mentally stronger and more optimistic, and truly empower yourself you are going to love the sessions.
Situated in a stunning location close to Chatsworth and Bakewell, The Cattle Shed, Grindleford is a brand new development completed in 2017. Converted from an old cattle shed and built to an exceptionally high standard, this rustic and contemporary luxury development provides a unique venue for larger groups to enjoy the beauty of the Peak District National Park.
Don’t be fooled about what you hear about a plant-based diet. The Awakened Ape Retreat leaves nothing to chance and everything to the culinary imagination. You won’t find any limp lettuce or be foraging for your food (although this could be an option!) imagine mouth-watering crunchy Thai peanut quinoa, warming spicy chili, butternut pecan wheat berry salad, jerk pasta, orange ginger sweet potatoes to name just a few of the amazing dishes you will open your taste buds up to. Let’s not forget the delish desserts from raspberry chocolate brownies, cinnamon buns to chocolate orange puddings. Yes, all plant-based and all super healthy!
You will also be having a little fun with a ready steady snack, where in small teams you will learn how to prepare easy delicious plant-based snacks in next to no time. Great for when you are on the go and want to make sure you have something tasty and healthy to hand!
They will also show you that eating a plant-based diet does not mean you have to miss out on a BBQ with flavour-packed burgers, sizzling skewers, and lots of vibrant salads and veggies. Great Food to enjoy and celebrate that feeds your mind, your body, and your soul.
They will make sure you are provided with all of the recipes for the foods you will be eating so you can carry on with your plant-based way of life after the retreat.
