The River Room

The River Room is our sacred meditation and peaceful riverside cabin. It is our amazing energetic space for couples or an individual looking for personal retreat time to journal, practice yoga, or to meditate. The River Room is adjacent to our Sweat Lodge and is surrounded by very special energies. It is a place for those people that wish to absorb this healing energy.

It is a loft style room with one 3/4 size double bed. If you are over 6 feet tall, I would consider another rental. It has beautiful windows, skylight right above the bed, a massage table on the deck, and a sliding patio door onto a balcony overlooking the river and the mountains around. The River Room shares the shower, kitchen, parking, firepit, and outhouse facilities of the Teepees.

Lodge

Our beautiful and spacious well-appointed Lodge in Golden, BC may be rented out as a whole unit (5 or more people) or by one of the two individual floors (1-4 people) anytime of the year. Each of the two sections of the Lodge has its' own private kitchen, bathrooms, and entrance way.

The benefit of renting the Whole Lodge or Lower Lodge only is that it is the only building with a sauna and it has close access to the hot tub on the bottom deck. The views are outstanding looking out over the Blaeberry Valley and the Rocky Mountains. We are your choice for your Golden, BC accommodations! Wireless Internet is available for those people that need to stay connected.

Cliff House

Our unique cabin called the Cliff House, has two bathrooms & a well equipped kitchen that includes: tea, coffee, sugar, spices, coffee maker, convection oven, and toaster oven and fresh eggs from our own chickens. Of course, comfy bedding and towels are provided. This space is simple and perfect for your accommodations in Golden, BC.

Stay in this beautiful and unique accommodation (14 x 16ft). It is great for individuals, couples, groups, and families. Situated on the edge of the cliff, overlooking what we think now is the best view of the River, it is a unique 2 story building. It is an open concept with bunk beds on each floor. On the upper floor there are two bathrooms (one with a shower, sink, toilet, and one with a sink and toilet). There are two bunk beds (one single over single, and one single over double/futon bed).

On the lower floor there is a small kitchen with a sink/stove/fridge unit, a convection oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, and all other kitchen amenities including coffee, tea, and eggs. There is a great round table and breakfast bar with stools to sit at to eat or gaze at the River. On this floor also are two bunkbeds with the same configuration as on the upper floor. There is Wireless Internet for those people that wish to stay connected to the outside world.

Traditional Teepees

These Golden, BC Teepee accommodations are a wonderful and unique experience for those people on their Canadian Rockies vacation or on their weekend getaway. These two 26' diameter traditional teepees (also known as tipis) are located on the rivers edge. Take back beautiful memories and photos of your Teepee stay in British Columbia. Listen to the flow of the river gently singing you to sleep.

The teepees are beautifully decorated and have two double and two single raised beds in each. There is a fire pit in the center so you can have a beautiful campfire at night inside the teepee. An allotted amount (one bin full) of Firewood is provided for you as part of your teepee rental fee. Additional firewood is available for 5 CAD per wood bin. There is a shared cooking area with a 3 burner propane stove, sink with hot & cold water, and kitchen utensils/plates/pots etc..

You must supply yourself with all the food you need. Bring a cooler along if you need to store any food items cold. We ask that you store your food either in your car during the night and when you are gone for the day or in the food cache provided. A hot water outdoor shower is located next to the kitchen shelter. An outhouse is about 100 ft (30m) away from the teepees.

This weekend begins Friday at 08.00 hours and continues until Sunday at 15.00 hours. Together we will stretch and move in a guided and varied Yoga practice with Tracey Delfs, a talented Yoga and Meditation instructor and Life Coach from Calgary, AB. You will spend time reflecting on what it takes to move slower in your life and to be more mindful in your day to day activities. You will build your Mindfulness practice so that you can incorporate it into your daily life. You will also be given an opportunity to be in silence, to relax, and to enjoy the beauty of Nature.

We are located in the heart of the Blaeberry Valley, 17 km NW of Golden, BC. The Canadian Rockies surround us to the North and East and our view is of the Purcell Mountains to the South and West. We are on 11 acres of Riverside property. Our property line to the South is just a few metersi ha from the South Point House.

To the West our property line is the Blaeberry River. River land is considered crown land so you may go hiking along the river, see other hikers, and horseback riders going by. To the North we are bordered by Wydeen Creek and 5 acres of crown land and to the East, our border is the Blaeberry Road.

Our property is located in a wilderness/mountain environment so that means that we are lucky enough to have wildlife around; from spiders, squirrels, to deer and to the occasional bear. When you arrive we will go over the guidelines for camping in the Rocky Mountains.

"We spent three nights in tipis and then two nights in the Lodge. The bedding was warm and clean, the kitchen was pretty well equipped. The owners were there whenever we needed them. The views were spectacular."

"We were 11 people - 4 adults and 7 kids from 10 to 16 and stayed in both teepees for 3 nights and the main lodge for 2 and enjoyed ourselves here more than anywhere else on our trip to BC.We had read other reviews which criticised the hosts Brian and Annette before going but, although standoffish, they were amenable and tolerant of our large family group and gave great information. The lodge was very well appointed and nicely done. It was immaculately clean. The teepees were charming and the beds there confortable with plenty of bedding. There was some officious signage but we could completely overlook this as this was an amazing place. It was lovely to have the massage table by the river and although we dont usually massage each other we really got into it. If you walk a little down river there was a slower moving area where the mud was pristine and just like you get at beauty salons and the water was warmed by the sun (the main river is very cold). Take insect repellent. If we ever went back to BC would definitely go again and the views up inot the mountains are fantastic. No need to go to the National Parks as this scenery as good as any. Just a couple of minutes down the road is a wtaerfall worth a visit and a wolf centre."

"I stayed in Quantum Leaps for a retreat. The place is beautiful, inside a forest, river is minutes away. I was really surprised that the host of such a wonderful place could be so angry and unrespectful person. the check out is supposed to be at 11 am, he asked us to move out earlier, which is fine with me, after breakfast at 9:30 our bed sheets were removed and everything on beds and chair was thrown on the floor. Honestly, I couldn't believe anyone owning lodge business would do such a thing. If not the positive energy from the retreat, Brian would ruin my weekend. I do not recommend Quantum Leaps to anyone."

"We enjoyed our stay at Quantum Leaps. I'm not really a nature girl, but this place may have won me over. Incredible setting, quiet and serene -it was just what our family needed. We loved the campfire in the Teepee and the amenities in the Southpoint Cottage. We hope to return again."

"Annette & Brian, thank you for opening up your world for us to experience. I had a beautiful time on our retreat and left there feeling more confident, strong, and at peace with myself and my world. Peace to you both!"
