What to expect

  • Morning Mysore practice: Mysore style is the heart of Ashtanga yoga. In the Mysore method, students are met as individuals. Each student practices at their own pace while the teachers are there to give them personalised support.
  • Theory and interactive workshops: philosophy, history, Ayurveda, Asana alignment, Abhyanga (Ayurvedic self-massage). Hip-opening, back-bending and core/shoulder strengthening workshops will be a part of the week as well.

Note

To get the most out of the retreat, you are encouraged to prepare your body and mind for at least a week before arriving. This includes not consuming alcohol, cigarettes, intoxicants, meat, processed foods, deep fried foods, low quality vegetable oils and low-quality or stale food.

This retreat is in a beautiful and cozy eco-resort with a private waterfall & permaculture garden. Being at this beautiful and sustainable eco resort gives a unique experience of truly living in the middle of the nature. The open-air structures provide a natural cooling system, enabling the bungalows to remain at a comfortable temperature throughout the day and night.

No air conditioning or fans are needed as the bungalows are five to 10 degrees cooler in the mountains than the coastal areas of Bali.

As you step out of the gate you can enjoy beautiful nature walks. One gets a true feeling of local Balinese life, with their warm smiles accompanying you with every step.

Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). The organizer can provide car transfer at an additional cost from the airport. If you are arriving on your own, please let them know in advance your time of arrival. Airport drop-off is not included, though Purna Yoga can help arrange transport for the participants if needed.
